An excellent kit for all levels of artists.

I love doing shibori and ordered this kit from G&S;Dye in Toronto, Canada. The first kit I bought was from a store and turned out to be "fake" indigo. I then tried non reduced indigo and it didn't go well. This kit was perfect as it teaches you the ins and outs of indigo dye, without so much guesswork. Maintaining a live indigo vat requires a lot of patience, commitment and talent - this works just as well and is an excellent starting point to understand the science of indigo. It contains enough dye and fixative to shibori quite a few pieces - I think I did nearly 30 pieces (scarves, shirts, napkins and one pair of jeans) before the indigo runs out. I have continued to buy these kits for teaching shibori and they always work like a charm.
