Childhood kind of good

These are the products you go back to for nostalgia and get excited for its taste, but once you bite it, it's nothing special and a little too sweet. Still good every once in a while. Again, probably just for the nostalgia. You could make a better homemade twinkie.

Sinfully good

Everyone knows Twinkies. Yummy, cake-y goodness. What's not to love? A nice snack that brings back childhood memories. Unfortunately, this isn't something you could really munch on. It doesn't satiate your hunger but it does taste great. Obviously there isn't much nutritional value in these but once in a while, go ahead indulge.

Childhood memories

I remember seeing ads of Twinkies when I was a kid and wondered what they tasted like because it was not available where I lived. I'm glad I finally had them and then there was no looking back. I'm glad I can share a part of my childhood with my kids who love to snack on these too. However, they are a tad too sweet for my taste buds now

Good value for what you are paying.

My kids liked them but I don't think they will be begging me for them again. They were just OK, the cost and the quantity were good. I found them a little sweet for my liking. They smash and crumble too easily in their lunch and would recommend that you freeze. They will thaw in time for lunch but will hold their shape longer. Overall a nice treat and would buy them again if on sale but just didn't wow my kids or family.

Tasty Treat

I bought the Twinkie Golden cakes, they were a tasty treat and great for a special surprise in lunches. It is not an item I would normally buy, but it is something I will buy again.

Great for a sweet fix

Can’t go wrong with good old fashioned Twinkie’s. Just what you need to satisfy your sweet tooth craving for sponge cake. Creamy filling is amazing. It’s not overly sweet.

Twinkies remind me of my childhood. I use to eat them all the time at my grandparent's house. The cake is almost like a combination of a sponge cake and angel food cake. The cream in the middle is a buttercream loaded with sugar. The cream is very sweet, but is balanced out by the cake on the outside. There is a good ratio of cake to cream. They are a good treat to have every now and again. You can occasionally find them on sale at Walmart or Loblaws for a very good price.
