Perfect Winter Walks with My Puppy And Hotti

Me and my puppy Laska really enjoy our winter walks here in Manitoba, Canada, where some days can get extremely cold. The Hotti Heated Dog Leash was a great product to try out during these chilly days.
The heated handle is fantastic-keeping my hands warm makes our walks so much more comfortable, especially in the evenings. The 12-foot leash gives Laska plenty of room to explore safely, and the built-in flashlight makes evening walks much easier and more secure.
The only minor thing I noticed is that the handle can feel a little slippery if you’re wearing gloves made from certain materials, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
Overall, this is a thoughtful, well-designed leash for anyone who walks their dog in cold weather. The combination of warmth, visibility, and ergonomic design really makes it stand out. Laska and I are enjoying our winter walks much more thanks to it!

Kept my hands warm in freezing weather

I've been looking for a leash so my dog can run around more without being off leash. This is the smoothest retracting leashes I have tried and ever in the depth of winter, it kept my hands warm whil I walked. It was easy to use, easy to charge and not heavy at all It made the pup in cold weather great. Also I could feel the warmth through my gloves which was so nice.

Keeps My Hands Warm and Adds Great Safety Features

As someone who walks my poodle daily, even in snowy weather, Hotti's Heated Leash has been a fantastic upgrade. The handle heats up nicely (two levels to choose from), and it makes a huge difference on chilly mornings – no more numb fingers!

The flashlight is super handy for picking up after my pup in the dark, and the LED lights make us visible to cars.

Build quality feels premium, and the grip is ergonomic.

My only minor complaint is that the added battery and lights make it a touch heavier than a basic leash, which I notice on really long walks.

Warm Hands on Winter Walks

The hotti heated handle dog leash is such a cool idea, especially here in Canada where the winter has been harsh. The instructions are clear for each setting and I love how it heats up fast. My hand stayed warm for our whole walk.

I love the flashlight- it is nice and bright; which I need when I take my Sophia out every night and every morning. The light settings are cool, they tell you your heat settings, then you can change up the colours.

The quality is really great, the handle is smooth, comfortable and easy to grip, the retractable ribbon leash is 12’ long, reflective and has good quality hardware. The buttons are easy to push and lock right away when you need the leash length stopped.

Winter must have for dog parents

This leash is a great addition to winter walks. I have a snow-loving pup that could spend hours outside if I let him. Unfortunately for him, I’m not a winter person and run cold all the time. The heated feature of this leash keeps my fingers from getting frosty when we are out on long walks, though I wish the warmest setting were slightly warmer for frigid days. I love the fun LED lights, and the flashlight is super bright and a great addition to help you see at night. 

The only thing I dislike is the retractable leash since my pup isn’t great at walking with one. If I could purchase a non-retractable version with a thicker leash for our daily city walks and training sessions, I would love it. I will definitely keep the retractable leash for our outdoor exploring walks, where I can give him more freedom to roam.

Montreal’s winter was (and still is) cold AF. 
Cold walks = frozen hands but now it’s not a problem. You can actually feel the warmth with the heated handle with built-in lights, 2 heat settings, and a flashlight (think 🦨 in summer) — perfect for dark, snowy walks ❄️✨ 
 
In addition of keeping my hands warm, this makes dog walks so much more comfortable for both me (& Robin) and Litchi. The retractable 12 foot leash allows Litchi to have more freedom when roaming in the park.  
 
My verdict : 
After testing outside, real winter conditions (-20 C) , I fully approve of this 🐾 ✅

Heated Dog Leash

I didn't even know heated leashes existed before being introduced to the Hotti Heated Handle dog leash. I’ve been using it for a little while now, and honestly, it’s been a bit of a mixed experience for me. From the beginning, I’ve had trouble getting the heating feature to actually work. The buttons light up like they’re supposed to, but the handle itself doesn’t heat up at all. I think I managed to get it warm maybe once or twice, but I haven’t been able to get it to stay warm since, even after following all the instructions.

That said, there are a couple of things I do like. The built‑in flashlight is super handy during early morning or late-night walks, and the little clip for holding a poop bag is actually really convenient. My only other complaint is that the leash feels pretty clunky and heavy in my hand, especially on longer walks.

Overall, I love the idea of a heated leash, especially for winter, but I just haven’t been able to get the heating feature to work the way it’s supposed to.
