Great budget robot vacuum

I love this roomba! It's fairly quiet (or quieter than a traditional vacuum at least), and so much more convenient since it's hands-free. Plus, it works! I work from home and it's so much easier since I don't have to vacuum every single day. My cats find it endlessly entertaining so that's definitely a bonus.

I have a love-hate relationship with the 880! When it works, its fantastic... but went it cannot find the dock, it is such a pain!! It will spend nearly an hour heading towards and away from the dock as well as spinning in circles as if it is lost. The sensor on top of its docking station is always clear though, so I have still not found a solution for this problem. With that being said though, I received this as a wedding gift nearly three years ago and the robot still cleans on a daily basis. It picks up nearly everything although leaves from my husband's lemon tree are a bit too large! Great for daily upkeep and especially for those with pets! We have two cats and this robot does an excellent job picking up their fur. It can programmed to run as much as seven days a week and at anytime of the day. I have personally found that 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays is enough to manage dirt and cat hair in addition to using a regular vacuum once monthly. Although in an ideal world, it would amazing if the iRobot could do it all, in reality there are still corners and ledges that need some love! We have a Dyson Animal Vacuum for those. Overall, a fairly good product, but not worth the premium price. If you are to purchase it, get it on sale!!
