Spice up your Salmon!

I followed part of the recipe that was suggested through the Knorr link. I marinated my salmon in soy and the Japan Shichimi Togarashi seasoning and put it in the fridge. I then baked it in the oven for 20 minutes. It was a little crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I could definitely taste the soy and seasoning flavours come through. It had a bit of a sweet and spicy taste at the same time but overall, added a nice and different flavour to the salmon.

Flavourful and quick to make meals!

I consider myself a lazy cook where I try to find ways to make delicious meals with the least about of effort. This seasoning fits the bill, quick and easy to make! You must need to buy the ingredients, then mix it all in a bowl, marinate the meat/fish, then cook! In this case, I followed the recipe on the website as suggested on the package. It was easy to follow with only 3 steps! The salmon came out nicely and I'm surprised to taste it can be pretty spicy. Add less of the seasoning if you don't like too much spiciness in your food. Overall I would recommrnd to give this a try! It certainly spiced up my salmon and rice dish today!

Delicious new flavour!

This was the first time that my family has tried this new-to-us flavour, and we absolutely all loved it! We made this seasoning blend with salmon and paired it with salad, and it was very enjoyed by all! I received this product free to try, and I would definitely recommend it!

Not a bad taste

I like each package can use more than once with a zip. I actually follow the recipe. It was good, spicy but not too spicy. I wish the seasoning is more fine but more like w powder.

very spicy and delicious

I use SHICHIMI TOGARASHI often as a condiment, purchased from my local Japanese grocery store and love the spiciness with citrus, sesame and savory notes. I was very excited to receive the KNORR version for free to try and review.

To test this product, I used the recipe for Salmon Shichimi Togarashi from the KNORR website. I found the recipe very easy to prepare. I spent 5 min preparing the marinade, and 20 min to cook in a convection oven. The salmon came out with crispy skin (baked skin side down) and tender flavorful salmon. It was very rich and spicy, so if you love spice this is a recipe for you. I assume you can reduce the amount of spice in the marinade if you want a milder finished product.

The Knorr version of this Japanese spice blend is comparable in my opinion to the authentic Japanese version, but it is easier to find and very affordable. The product came in a large bag, and I will purchase again. Since I like to use this as a condiment in noodle soup or an udon stir fry, I recommend transferring the spice to a small shaker for easy use when cooking or at the table.

Lots of Pepper-Not my Favorite

I was looking forward to trying something new. We always scan the various spice blends but never know what to pick.
We're not a fish family so we tried this on a pork loin. It may have been that it just wasn't suited to pork but I found the main flavor that came through was the pepper. The secondary flavor was bit familiar but I can't place what it reminds me of. I've seen other suggestion of using it on veggies, we may try that next. Overall this wasn't a favorite in our house.

So damn tasty!!

This product is so flavorful and there are so many recipes that you can make with it!! Takes me back to when we were in Hong Kong and Taiwan, very similar flavors. I will for sure be buying this in the future!! Thank you for the sample!!

Wonderful flavor, Excellent taste

I tried this spice on boneless pork chops, seasoning and refrigerating for 2 hours. I loved the light heat and sweetness of the blend. My children enjoyed the flavor and even my picky cooked wanted more chops. I want to try the spice on beef and chicken next.

Quick seasoning and great taste.

Chickadvisor sent me this knorr Togarashi seasoning blend along with another one few days back for free to try the spices.I uses it for 3 to 4 times now and am impressed.Its so quick and easy way to cook dinner and with great taste.You dont need much just dust it with the seasoning and saute it.love the taste.goes great with fish. Flavourful

I’m so happy that I got to try this product for free, thanks to Family Rated! We used it over roasted broccoli, and it was delicious. A very nice flavour on veggies, not just meats or fish. My family also enjoyed it!
