Kongs last for a very long time even with prolific chewers and make great busy work for dogs of all ages. We have several for our dog teddy, and he's excited whenever they come out because that typically means there's peanut butter or liverwurst inside.
For us, the Kong was a lifesaver when we brought our puppy home for the first time. We live in an apartment building and our puppy would bark and whine loudly whenever we had to leave her for a couple of hours. Our veterinarian told us to smear a small amount of natural peanut butter inside of her Kong and give it to her when we walked out the door. It worked like a charm! We slowly gave it to her less and less as we left and now she is 3 years old and has it as a treat only. It has lasted perfectly over the past couple of years. Well worth the money and I would definitely recommend it.
Kong are great to keep your pet busy.. They love to throw it around to get the treats out.. I put a small amount of peanut butter in it and some treats, my dog love to throw it around and it keeps her busy ... I give it to her when I have to leave for a short time so she can be busy while im gone... she loves to lick the peanut butter ... great toy and very durable.....
This is great and a total must for a dog. It's a solid rubber hollow toy that you stick food/treats in, and is good distraction if your dog has separation anxiety. It works with my Jack Russel... so food obsessed. And it's another type of game that it can play to get a reward. We've put a few things in but the best are peanut butter and liverwurst. My Jack has figured out that if you put in loose dog treats/cut up hot dogs/pieces of chicken that it can just pick it up and jump on the couch and drop it over the edge causing all these bits to fly out at once when it bounces. So that ends very quickly. So liverwurst is best b/c it can only lick it out a little at a time. It's the perfect size to pick up and carry, and b/c it's a good rubber quality my little dog has never been able to chew any damage into it whatsoever. The only downsides have been that the sound of teeth rubbing against it is like a rubbing-against-a-balloon noise, and it's heavier so if it's chewing it in the middle of the night and dropping it off the bed it can wake me up.
When my dog was a puppy she absolutely loved this! I would put peanut butter in it with other treats and she would go at it for hours! It kept her busy from chewing on other things in the house -___-
My dog loves his Kong!!! He especially loves the toy filler flavours!! Cheese and bacon is his first choice and peanut butter is his second! The toy is very durable as well. He has had the same Kong toy since he was brought home!!
My 3 dogs love their kongs. They play with them daily. I also fill it with peanut butter and its keeps them busy for hours. Sometime i fill it and freeze it for a few hours on a hot day. Make sure they are somewhere the mess does not matter
My dogs love their kongs. We usually put peanut better in them and stick me in the fridge for a couple of hours. They usually sit there all afternoon trying to eat every little bit of PB out of it, and I don't have to worry about them taking pieces out of the kong it's self. Great product.
Great toy! Keeps doggy occupied for ages! Super durable. This thing is virtually indestructible. Easy to clean
