This is my very favorite hand cream ever--I have not been without a tube for the past five years. It is very rich and seems to almost instantly repair the skin on my hands, giving them a smooth, soft look. I'm pretty hard on my hands--washing many times each day, riding my bike in wind and sun without gloves, living in the desert--and this is the best cream I've had for preventing dry, scaly hands. It doesn't sink in right away and is somewhat greasy, but I sort of like that, especially since it does work and doesn't just sit on top of the skin. I personally love the powdery scent, though I don't find that it lingers for more than 30 minutes or so. The packaging isn't my favorite, as the label always seems to come off, leaving a metal tube covered with sticky residue, but it's something I can deal with. Overall, one of my favorite indulgences!

I hate to be a party pooper, but it seems that many products (including this one) don't seem to work as well for me as they seem to do for others.

I have normal skin with the occasional dry patches, but since my skin is fairly low maintenance, I just put any kind of lotion on it and within a few days, the dry skin disappears.

I got the mini size free as part of their promotion a few months ago, and as it was still winter, I was excited to try this product on some dry patches on my hands (e.g. on the tips of my thumbs). The cream is really thick (it holds its shape really well coming out of the tube), and has a very strong scent (probably due to its 20% shea butter content). The scent takes some getting used to. Anyways, after putting it on the dry patches of skin, I didn't notice a difference -- in fact, I think any commonplace moisturizer, e.g. Vaseline, works as well as, if not better (i.e. faster) than this product. For me, it takes almost 2cm (lengthwise) of this product to cover both hands, and I don't feel as though my hands are more moisturized than normal.

Verdict: for people with normal skin, don't bother buying this product. With 1/3 of money needed to buy a mini size of this hand cream, you could go out and buy a whole tub of Vaseline, and it'll work just as well (or better). Or, just wait out the dry patches of skin on your hands.

I can understand why this is an HG item for most people and why it's one of L'occitane's best-sellers. I picked up a free sample of this at the store and I had to go back and purchase it once I finished with my sample. This product has a thick consistency but it's easy to apply, spreads easily and absorbs really well. A little goes a long way and you only need a little bit of the product to fully moisturize your hands. The whole bottle will certainly last you long time. It does have a scent that some people might not like but I don't really mind it as long as the product works.

I worked with kids during the summer and I had to constantly wash my hands which left them feeling dry. This hand cream re-hydrated my hands and it left them feeling really soft. It moisturizes without leaving a greasy feeling on your hands. I have sensitive skin and this product did not irritate it or leave it feeling itchy.

I like the packaging. It comes in a squeeze tube instead of a tub so it's easy to dispense the product and it's more sanitary. A major con would be the price but this product is worth every penny. I will continue to repurchase it and I highly recommend it to anyone. This is one of the best hand creams I have ever tried.

this hand cream is amazing, in my job i am constantly washing my hands so they are dry and im always on the look out for new and amazing hand creams. This cream is non-greasy and absorbs quickly, still very moisturizing, the one thing is Im not keen on the smell, however it doesnt seem to linger so due to the effectiveness of this product I would buy it again!

This lotion is amazing, it doesn't leave a greasy after-feeling and it will stay on your hands all day, even after hand washing.

One downfall is that the smell is quite strong, and not exactly the type of scent I like. The other is the price, but if have trouble with dry skin, this will work.

This is my go to product to moisturize my hands right before I go to bed :)

My hands are not overly dry, but they have been taking a beating since I was my hands constantly at school.

At night, I always choose deep and moisturizing products for my body to let it really sink it overnight.

For my hands? This is the best that it can get! I feel like my hands drink this right up! It goes on smooth and within less than a minutes, Voila! Super supple hands that do not have any residue left over from the cream.

How do I know this is a Holy Grail (HG) product for me? Even my boyfriend comments on how soft my hands are after I apply this :)

The scent is also an added bonus! Its a soft buttery smell that dissipates right after application.

Although the price point can be a little steep for a little tube, it WILL last long and goes the extra mile (at least for me lol)

    Happy shopping!

This stuff is AMAZING! If you could only use one hand cream for the rest of your life, this should be it. It has a great smooth texture and really nourishes dry hands/skin and leaves it feeling very supple and soft. It's pricey but worth it.
