La Prairie Cellular Treatment Rose Illusion Line Filler is a light pink gel with light-deflecting particles and rose scent.

When I first opened the jar I was surprised by the look of this - I had never seen a primer that looked like this. And the scent... I thought it was a bit heavy for me.

But when applied to the skin it is not pink and sparkly as in the jar. It goes on transparent with a subtle glow and the scent lingers for a while and then you just don't notice it. In general I don't have any problems with the application of Rose Illusion but I must say that because of it's thick texture it can be easily over applied and you need only a tiniest amount of it per use. If used correctly this 30 ml jar will last you like forever! Usually I apply Rose Illusion in a very thin layer all over the face and then if necessary I add a bit to the areas with wrinkles or large pores to make them smoother. It's oil-free and it doesn't feel greasy. BTW it makes my fingers smooth as well and then my brushes 'glides on' in my hands as easily as makeup does on the face haha) So I need to wash my hands after using this primer.

First of all, Rose Illusion is a good lines / pores filler while it's light-deflecting particles and optical diffusers make the skin glow. Your makeup doesn't settle into lines / pores when applied. As a result the skin tone is evened out, the skin is smooth and the face looks younger.

As for it's makeup primer properties, since it is a silicone based makeup primer it makes the skin really soft, smooth, and velvety. Mineral foundations, concealers, and correctors are buffed perfectly and kind of 'sticked' to the skin while blushes, bronzers, highlighters, and finishing powders are blended without any efforts and you get flawless complexion. Liquid foundations glide on and blend easily. The makeup does look better than usually and stays all day in it's place.

I haven't notice any oil control properties of Rose Illusion but it doesn't claim though. However since it's oil free it doesn't make the oilyness worse. For example, I use oil-blotting sheets 2 times during the day as usual. I think it's more suitable for those with dry or normal skin type and if you have oily skin you should choose makeup primer with oil control and mattefying properties.

Besides line / pores filler and makeup primer Rose Illusion is a skin treatment. It has a lot of ingredients good for the skin - Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Equisetum Arvense Extract, Bisabolol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ursolic Acid and Marine Collagen that are known for their moisturizing, energizing, nourishing and age-minimizing properties. So your skin is nourished and protected while you're enjoying your flawless complexion.

And just a few words about the price. I know Rose Illusion is quite expensive. But it's so woth it. I love this product so much that I think I must save up for it and purchase a jar when I run out. Oh, and I have plenty of time for saving up)
