I received a free product coupon to purchase a Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspirations meal to review as part of the Chick-Advisor Review Club. The flavour combination I tried was Mediterranean Chicken.
Going into this, I expected this meal to taste bland. My experience with microwavable meals in the past has not been good. Most meals were tasteless, and did not cook evenly.
It was really easy to heat up. I had to partially cook it, stop to stir the meat and sauce and then resume cooking. Pretty simple.
After letting it stand, I decided to try it, fully expecting it to be cold in some places and scalding in others. Nope! It was heated pretty evenly. The texture was pretty good, the vegetables were soft, but not soggy. It had a nice big chunks of chicken in it, and what surprised me the most was that it had a sauce with flavour. Not watered down at all!
Overall, I found this meal pretty good. It isn't something I would eat daily, but it makes a great meal to have for the days that are rushed. It is low in calories and fat, and high in protein, so you can eat it guilt-free. It would be a perfect lunch or dinner for those following a calorie restricted diet.
I would definitely recommend this. It is one of the best microwaveable meals I have eaten. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other flavours.
For the first time tried a lean cuisine dinner , I wasn't sure what to expect as I have been disappointed many times by frozen dinners ..so when i tried the 'teriyaki chicken' I was pleasantly surprised as it actually tasted good and like real chicken not that rubbery stuff or like cardboard
I ate the whole meal and felt great afterwards , although I really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki next time I am going to try another flavor until I have tried all of them .
I would definitely recommend to anyone who ever had a crappy frozen dinner , so glad I got to try it out through the product review club because I had pretty much given up on frozen dinners and probably would not have tried it otherwise
I received a free product coupon to try this out and picked the shrimp alfredo. Following the frozen package instructions, my shrimp was still raw (still black and not red in color). After, I further cooked my shrimp alfredo till the shrimp turned a nice red color, it was very tasty. Good amount of shrimp to pasta. Overall, pretty decent frozen dinner and better than other frozen dinners I have purchased in the past. I would buy when it goes on sale.
I received a coupon for a free product and I purchased the Chicken Teriyaki package.
The flavour of this meal was overall very good.
It is definitely a better product than many of the other frozen meals I have tried in the past.
I don't typically purchase frozen meals frequently but if I need a quick meal I'll definitely purchase this product!
i received a full value coupon to try the new lean cuisine fresh inspirations meal. i chose the mediterranean chicken flavor. i liked the taste of the broccoli and the chicken. i also liked that you could chose how much or how little of the sauce you wanted. i didn't care for the red peppers, because i find when peppers are frozen they tend to get a little mushy. i have tried many other types of frozen meals and find this to be one of the better ones i have tried. i really liked the pasta, it was just the right amount of tenderness. it didn't get mushy like other ones i have tried. i would most likely buy this product in the future and look forward to trying the other flavors. i will highly recommend this meal to family and friends.
I tried the Mediterranean chicken fresh inspirations. I do prefer cooking from scratch and I'm lucky enough to have time for that, but I wouldn't mind having a few Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspirations in the the freezer for a quick meal now and again. I thought this product was superior to other frozen microwavable meals I have tried in the past. I prepared my meal according to directions and chose to mix all of the chicken and sauce with the pasta. But it is nice to have the option of eating the meat and sauce and pasta/vegetables separately if you so desire. I think the separate steaming helps the pasta and veggies retain their nice texture. I liked that the chunks of chicken and vegetables were a good size and amount. The vegetables were flavorful and tender crisp. The chicken also tasted like real chicken and was tender, not mushy or dry . I can also say the same for the pasta. The meal was also visually appealing. I confess that when I opened the package, I thought "this is pretty small, it doesn't look like a lot of food" but it turned out to be just the right amount.
I was one of the lucky ChickAdvisor's who received a coupon to try Lean Cuisine's Fresh Inspirations and I tried out the Chicken Thai flavour. As far as flavour, it was amazing! The chicken was tender, the rice cooked up nicely and was not clumpy or sticky, and the vegetables still retained some of their firmness so all of that was good. The Fresh Inspirations do a much better job on the rice then other microwavable dinners. I know that the Fresh Inspirations say you can customize the amount of sauce you can put in, and you can (sort of) but not really well. Basically you dump what they provide on the rice and vegetables.
I would recommend this product to a friend and will buy it again, when it is on sale.
The primary drawback I have with this product is that the serving size is small (especially for the non-sale price). Other issues are that the instructions don't provide a guideline for cooking if you are using a smaller microwave, they just tell you to cook it longer. Unfortunately, if you overcook then the rice and vegetables don't turn out well, so your really need to play it by feel. Also it would be nice to see the Inspirations included in the Stouffer/Lean Cuisine rewards program, especially since they are more expensive.
I received a coupon to try a Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspirations to review.
I decided to try the garlic chicken. It smelled delicious and tasted quite good. The potatoes weren't quite cooked but that was better than burnt!
The garlic was definitely strong which I liked, but I needed to chew some gum after as I was at work!
I don't think this product is worth the higher price charged compared to regular Lean Cuisines. I would buy this again if it was on sale and I had a coupon. I generally do not spend more than $1.99 on frozen dinners.
I was chosen to review the Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspirations and got a free coupon. I chose the shrimp Alfredo. It was quite tasty but not a lot of shrimp. I will definitely buy some more though. They are great when you don't have the time to cook!
I received Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspiration free to test. The taste wasn't really there for me so I hot sauced it. Then it was alot better.I had Shrimp Alfredo, Loved the pasta and the veggies but not much alfredo taste. Over all a good product with a splash of hot sauce to make it taste better. Kind of disappointed. Wish I didn't have to put anything in it.
