Perfect Glowy skin

I absolutely love this body cream! The texture is thick and super moisturizing, which is exactly what my dry winter skin needs. A little goes a long way, and it keeps my skin hydrated for hours without feeling sticky.

The jasmine and ylang-ylang scent is lovely—light, fresh, and not overpowering. It feels comforting and cozy, but also clean and fresh.

Immediate relief of right winter skin

Just as my skin is starting to give up on winter, the folks at Butterly, L'Occitane and Sephor sent me this Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream.

I used to work in healthcare and the skin of my hands felt at times like it was falling apart until someone gave me a tube of L'Occitane's Shea Butter Hand Cream. It became a permanent part of the contents of scrubs pockets!

So I was thrilled at the idea of testing their body cream, which turned out to be just as fragrant, creamy, and nourishing, with the packaging boasting the familiar silver and blue reminding me of good times in my previous career. I appreciate the recyclable tin and can't help but wonder why there is a plastic refill available, when the tin is made of metal that can be recycled forever

I've only used the cream for a handful of days, because I have to post a review within a week of receiving the cream. I don't see any chance in the texture of my skin but it certainly doesn't feel as tight as it did a few days ago. In fact, the relief from the tightness was immediate. I do a lot of "spot checks" throughout the day and a little goes a very long way. And the smell... I'm no nose-savant, but I can smell the jasmine in this formula. I have an emotional connection to the smell of jasmine so it's definitely something I appreciate a lot about this cream.

The Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream from L’Occitane Is a winter must have! This cream offered relief to dry skin due to harsh Canadian winter. Goes on smoothly and offers a nice light scent.

Non-greasy!

This body cream is incredibly hydrating! What sets it apart is how it absorbs quickly without leaving any sticky or greasy residue. It glides on smoothly and leaves a soft, powdery finish. My only critique is the fragrance—while it's fresh and pleasant, I would prefer an unscented version for sensitive skin. I received this product for free in exchange for my review.

Soooo good for the dry winters!

This body cream is one of the best I have tried. I expected nothing less as I love Loccitane's hand cream but this one really blew me away. The way the thick texture melts in the warmth of your hand really makes me feel like my body is absorbing the moisture. As a Canadian in the winter my body gets really dry and I find using this right after a hot shower is best. It keeps my body feeling hydrated and I don't feel the need to reapply.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is not my favourite scent but that is definitely personal preference.

A winter dry skin lifesaver

This shea butter body cream is exactly what my skin needs this winter! I’ve been dealing with really dry skin and cracks on my hands especially and this was a total lifesaver.

I absolutely love the texture and consistency of this formula. It’s 25% shea butter and you can definitely tell. It’s thick, creamy, and rich and just melts into your skin. I found it absorbed quickly and didn’t leave any reside. I love using it as part of my pampering routine because it just feels so luxurious—from the tin to the texture of the body cream!

One thing I will mention is that I do wish this scent was more subtle or more like L’Occitane’s almond-based products. This cream has ylang ylang notes which don’t suit me.

A great hydrating cream

The texture and performance of this body butter are amazing. It feels incredibly rich and nourishing, leaving my dry skin soft and hydrated. However, the scent wasn’t my favorite—it’s a bit strong for my liking. Thankfully, it fades quickly after application, so it’s still a great option for moisturizing!
