Perfect for those jobs precision tasks
Enjoyed using this master craft hose plier especially in those unique precision tasks. Loved using it in my crafting as well as in repairs around the house. I would highly recommend it.
Good Value
Good quality pliers for the home mechanic. The teeth have a nice bite to them and the 8-inch size gives decent leverage. They feel sturdy and didn't flex when I put some weight behind them. My only minor complaint is that the handles could be a bit more padded, but for $15 (or less on sale), you can't really complain. Plus, the lifetime warranty at Canadian Tire makes it a no-brainer!
Very useful but store wisely
I received these pliers for free in return for my honest review. These pliers provide a high degree of convenience in performing what are often uncomfortable tasks: attaching and detaching hose nuts. Designed for use in tight spaces, the pliers have a 45 degree bend on a the upper part, with the serrated hose-grip portion having an opening gap of 1/2" when closed, and 2-1/4" when fully open. There is a lower serrated grip that has an opening of 1/8" when closed, and 1" when fully open. The tip of the pliers form a narrow pincer that can be used in a needlenose manner. There is an additional rear serrated grip under the pivot just above the handle.
Out of the package, the pliers have a black carbon residue on the grip surfaces that may cause some staining on skin, light-coloured fabric etc... a quick wipe or rinse will remove most of it. It does not affect the performance as it serves as a dry lubricant for the hinge.
The pliers are comfortable to hold, and have a good grip for small and large hands for one-handed operation. The bend at the hose grip portion is well-suited for gripping nuts for kitchen and bathroom faucet hoses which are often uncomfortable to reach with regular pliers or wrenches. The handles are coated in a rubbery grip, typical of Mastercraft tools. These are likely the least durable part of the tool, which is otherwise sturdy.
For home repairs, this is an essential tool that will save many knuckles from bruising when doing light plumbing work. As the pivot isn't sealed, it is possible that the tool may rust if not dried immediately after use in wet applications, so some maintenance is required.

It was part of a promotion and the item was received free of charge. The item arrived quickly and well packaged. It seems very sturdy and capable of fulfilling its function.
Grips on
These pliers take some getting used to to work, but they work, you definitely need to practice a few times to get it right, I found adding some type of grip over the hose helped even more
Very good quality useful
I picked it because of my father-in-law he was happy with the quality and he said this was missing from his box and now he can use it for his tool box quality is good and well packed weight is also decent
Best pliers I’ve ever bought!!
As a craft girl I’ve just started making my own earrings with polymer clay but this does require some wire work too! I headed to my local Canadian tire as that’s where everyone gets their tools right? Grabbed myself some different pliers and I absolutely love them! They are strong and have a great handle for grip and I genuinely don’t think I’ll ever need to get any more because they will probably last forever! Always heading for Mastercraft for any other tools I may need in the future. Would 100% recommend for anyone, crafty or for heavy duty work - they are my perfect!
Great Pliers for Car Repairs
Very happy with the pliers from Mastercraft. Perfect for removing hard to reach hoses in cars. Strong pliers with perfect grips for getting the hard to reach hose off. Not sure what other uses this could be used for.
Works well
I ended up using these to hold a difficult to get to round shape while working in the shop. It gripped well, despite not being the specific tool for the job. The teeth were great, and it certainly would work better for its intended purpose!
