It's very easy to use. It helps you trace circuits to find the right breaker in your electrical panel. Plug into outlet, go to your electrical panel and you'll see which breaker it is

Must Have

First off, this tool is a game changer. It helps you trace circuits to find the right breaker in your electrical panel. Imagine you’re working on a project and the power goes out. It’s super frustrating not knowing which breaker to flip!

Effective but confusing

I received a Mastercraft Circuit Breaker Tracer and GFCI Tester (120V) free from @thisisbutterly and was asked to try it and write my opinion on it.. To be honest, I had no idea what this tool was made for or what it did. After spending some time googling, I discovered that it is used to identify which circuit breaker controls a specific outlet. This tool turned out to be very helpful, as my electrical box was never properly labelled, so it was always a guessing game which switch controlled which area.

The Mastercraft Circuit Breaker Tracer and GFCI Tester includes two pieces. (It requires a 9V battery, which is conveniently included in the package). One plugs into a wall outlet, and the other is a handheld receiver that scans the circuit breakers until it identifies the correct switch. Once I understood how it worked, I found it to be very helpful as it saved me time and effort that I would have spent flipping switches and running back and forth between rooms.

The Mastercraft Circuit Breaker Tracer and GFCI Tester also includes a GFCI outlet tester which is supposed to help detect basic wiring issues (however I never figured out how this would work)..

Although the instructions could be more beginner-friendly, especially for someone who is not familiar with electrical work, the device itself works well once you get the hang of it. If you are a homeowner or someone looking to better understand your electrical panel, this tool could be a very practical addition to your toolbox.

A must have

This is very handy, safe and easy to use. A must have for every household. A perfect tool if you are renovating your home yourself, you are a contractor or even for any electric fluctuations, this one is so convenient to use. It has a battery as well. I will recommend it.
