This toothbrush was great and I will definetley keep using as my main brush from now on. I have sensitive guns, so I appreciated the softness of the bristles, but how my teeth still felt super clean afterwards. The timer feature was really useful as well! I also liked the slim design of the brush and the stand - it's sleek and small enough to happily leave out on the bathroom counter.
The two things I didn't love about this brush was the fact that the head is quite small, and that it doesn't spin, only 'pulses' or vibrates. Also the replacement heads are a bit pricey. It still worked really well though - I'm probably just used to my old brush! But I could certainly get used to this one!

Thanks to Product Review for the toothbrush opp. Like some of the earliest reviews here, I was excited to try it out right away! But after doing so, I thought I better try it a bit longer to see if my first impression was correct. It has gotten better after 1.5 weeks of using, but I still don't like it. While Oral-B is a great brand, and it has some redeeming features, overall I have to say really not sure about a purchase of this product, and wouldn't particularly recommend it. Especially with the heads being so expensive to replace, and finding already some of the bristles fraying off. And I really don't feel 'dentist clean' all fresh as I was expecting to; about the same as a regular brush really - though easily less work!

The shaking from the vibrations echo in your head such that your brain shakes and your ears ring - OK slight exaggeration, but it's *really* annoying. Sort of like the sound of a plane landing when you are sitting right over the wings. At least it (seems to be) just in your head, as I was worried in the beginning that I'd wake up everyone in the house. And while the Sensitive setting option is good for sore gums days, it doesn't have the same sense of clean; however, really can't stand the noise of the main setting. Am getting used to it, but not sure I want to. And beware knocking the head against your other teeth... open wide... Further, not sure I'll ever use that little brush addition as I like floss for that in-between bit.

There is a lot of over-foaming such that there is toothpaste dripping - every time. Had to wash a few shirts just for brushing my teeth! Now I have to just lean waaay over the sink to avoid this. We all spit after brushing, but this is a little much - and gross. OHYA, and the timer: really not enjoying the alert every 30 seconds; who brushes in 'quadrants' anyhow? At least once your 'allotted' 2 minutes is up, you can still brush should you not be done. Maybe I want to go longer as I'm waiting for this 'stain removal and whitening' bit to happen?

There is this giant box, and the charger comes tightly wrapped in plastic, with the plug also wrapped securely, yet the part with the bristles that go in my mouth weren't covered at all. Seemed unsanitary somehow; but as the box was sealed, went ahead anyhow. Would make more sense to have the bristles, head, and brush wrapped and not the plug. ALSO, there is no cover or case for the brush, so travelling with it requires then the usual ziploc baggie.

BEST feature? You can use it for (looks like at least) 2 weeks and not even need to recharge it! Pretty amazing that actually. Especially since I don't want it sitting on the counter. Which then makes it great for travelling short journeys; but again, no case or cover. Used to use (way back) one of those battery powered ones, and remember it at least came with a snap-on lid for the brush head.

I've been using the Oral-B Pulsonic power toothbrush for 8 days now and I am loving it!! My teeth have never felt so smooth and clean!

    Initial impression
When I first opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised by just how slim and sleek this toothbrush is.
I was able to mount the holder on the wall in my bathroom, which I like because it keeps my toothbrush off the counter so I'm not always knocking it over.

    Operation
The controls are simple - press once for regular mode, twice for sensitive teeth, and again to turn it off - which is good and adds to the aesthetic appeal. The brush heads vibrate like crazy and I can really feel it getting to the hard-to-reach areas like behind my molars, where it is difficult to use that brushing motion that a manual toothbrush requires.
I wanted to fully charged the handle so I could report how long it could go on a single charge... but... all I can say at this point is that it has lasted longer than 5 days haha. I will try to update this later if I remember!

    Effectiveness
For me, it's hard to get used to the fact that it produces such little foam. I tend to think it's not working as hard as I do with my manual brush when bubbles are erupting from my mouth haha... but the noticeable clean feeling proves otherwise.
The Pulsonic also comes with a Precision brushing head - a head with a small round patch of bristles about 4 mm wide. Honestly, I thought this was useless at first. But let me tell you, it came in handy on Friday night after I when to a movie! I flossed to get the inevitable residual popcorn hulls out of my gums, and then decided to try the precision head to get that gritty feeling out from my gums and between my teeth. Worked like a charm! A worthy investment for any movie buffs :)
I received it just over a week ago, so I haven't yet seen the if it will whiten my teeth in two weeks, as the brochure claims. But, even if it doesn't brighten my smile in just 14 days, I am confident that my oral health will improve with consistent use of the Pulsonic.

    Recommendations
I would recommend this slick little unit to anyone that can afford it. I realize it's not the most expensive power toothbrush out there, but well.ca sells it for about $100 and that is beyond many people's toothbrush budget. But, like I said, it's worth the splurge.
Also, I have a friend that's a dental hygenist and when I showed her the Pulsonic, she said she would consider recommending it to her patients. That's a thumbs-up in my books!

Lastly, thanks to the Product Review Club to this product and the chance to review it :)

The toothbrush is easy to assemble, charges quickly and stays charged for a decent amount of time. The positioning of the on/off switch is extremely awkward--there is no way to turn it on or off while it is in your mouth. This can make for a big mess if you don't brush your teeth with the toothbrush turned off for a couple seconds to distribute the toothpaste in your mouth.

Overall, it is better than some electric toothbrushes I have tried. I like the feature that has it pulsing after 30 seconds and again after 2 minutes so you can time how long you spend brushing your teeth.

I do find it difficult to brush close to the gumline with the toothbrush, and I also find the tops of my teeth don't feel clean with this toothbrush. The backs and sides of my teeth feel cleaner than when brushed with a manual toothbrush. 30 seconds often doesn't feel like long enough to clean a section of my mouth. When I want to brush longer, the pulsing feature is annoying, but at least the toothbrush continues to work past 2 minutes.

I will recommend the toothbrush to others, provided you can find it on sale. I'm looking for a deal on extra attachments so my husband can use this as well.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to test this product as it's very pricey if you're not sure how much you're going to like it.

I have never used a power tooth brush before. So found the overall experience quite different. I found that it the design was awkward making it difficult to hold as the placement of the off/on switch is in a spot where I and kept hitting it when maneuvering in my mouth. I thought that the brush head was also a little small, and would have preferred it larger.
The product performed better in some ways than a manual tooth brush when used on the tooth itself. However, it was harder to get along my gum line so its overall effectiveness was not as good as a manual brush.

I might consider buying this product again if the price was right. I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.

My thanks to chickadvisor for letting me try this great toothbrush !

First off this toothbrush leaves your teeth a soft polished feeling like you came out of the dentist .

The mouth feels very clean , this toothbrush is powerful but the nice thing about it , is that it has 2 levels one that's sensitive. It's easy to use .The only thing that I've noticed is that if you hold it near the middle of the handle it turns off. What's great about it , is that you don't need batteries it has a base for charging it . The head cleans well and has a good size .It's also lightweight wich is great compared to other similar products.

So my overall opinion is that it's effective , leaves your teeth white so you get a nice smile : )
It's worth it. I would definitely recommend it to my friends !

I was very pleased with the Oral-B Pulsonic. I had never used anything besides a manual toothbrush before and found the Oral-B Pulsonic to be much more effective and very easy to use. My teeth felt very clean and fresh and the design of the Oral-B Pulsonic is also attractive and makes it easy to hold. The different settings were great as well. Thank you Chick Advisor for selecting me to review this product.

I was very excited to recieve this product to review from the product review club as I have never used a power toothbrush but always wanted to give one a try. I've only had a chance to try it out for a few days but I found the Pulsonic very easy to use as you just plug it in and press one button and it is easy to change between heads. The power toothbrush definately leaves my teeth feeling cleaner. I find I have less times where my teeth feel "fuzzy" and dirty and longer gaps in between when they do. Going from a manual brush to a power toothbrush takes a little time to get use to. I don't care for the timer feature that stops briefly to indicate change. I guess it's better than an audible sound but I think it is slightly useless in my opinion. One other thing I found is that the bottom of the brush gets a little warm when charging. I guess this is normal, and it isn't too hot that it would hurt you but sometimes I feel it shouldnt be that warm at all.

Overall I think this is a great power toothbrush but like I said I do not have anything to compare it to besides my manual brushes. I'm uncertain that I would pay retail price for a brush like this myself but I would recommend it to people who are willing to. The replacement heads are also fairly expensive so when this one wears out I will have to weigh out the benefits of continuing to use it versus returning to a manual brush again.

Thank you ChickAdvisor for giving me the chance to test this product! I usually only use manual toothbrushes, so I was super excited to try out the Oral-b pulsonic power toothbrush. Overall, the product was easy to use, and I found that my teeth felt much cleaner than they do with a manual toothbruth - kinda like the post-dentist visits. For a power toothbrush, it's fairly light, slim and so it's easy to grip and use. The charger base is also fairly small, so it doesn't take up too much room on my counter. As I've continued using it, I've noticed that my teeth do look a bit whiter, so it does seem to be removing more of the surface stains.

Here's my only complaint: I have fairly sensitive teeth and the toothbrush rattles them quite a bit. I find my teeth feel a bit sore after use. I don't have another power toothbrush to compare it to, but it also seems quite loud to me. Definitely not for use on mornings when you have a headache. I'll keep a manual toothbrush for those days, but will continue using the Oral-b pulsonic toothbrush otherwise.

Look what fell into my lap as I was contemplating about getting an electric toothbrush! Thank you Chick Advisor and the the Product Review Club! I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with this product. I was quite surprised about how much I liked it because of my previous experience with the Oral B disposable electric toothbrush variety.

Like most other reviews here, I did love how sleek the toothbrush was. The only thing I didn't really appreciate was how the handle wasn't very ergonomic. My fingers felt a little strange holding the handle. I really liked how it also came with a tip brush head to get into the tiny crevices in between my teeth and near the gums. I felt it really helped in getting that "dentist" clean feeling. I LOVE how it has a normal and gentle setting for people with sensitive teeth. I used the gentle setting with the tip brush for areas near the gums. I also really liked the fact that there is a 30 sec timer interval to make sure that you're spending enough time in each area of the mouth. I feel that since using this toothbrush, there's been quite an improvement to the cleanness of my teeth and I hope when I see the dentist next, he'll feel the same! Quite honestly, I dont' think I'll be able to go back to manual brushing anymore! I would definitely recommend this to family and friends.

I absolutely clean my teeth feel these days! I have been using it for about two weeks now and
