Great Paint for Furniture Projects
I used the Premier Cabinet & Furniture Paint in Pure Black for my furniture project, and it turned out amazing. The paint goes on smoothly and gives a nice satin finish — not too shiny and not too dull. It dries quickly and covers really well, so I didn’t need too many coats. The color is a deep, rich black that makes old furniture look brand new. I also like that it’s easy to clean up with just soap and water.Perfect for cabinets, tables, or small wood projects. I would definitely buy it again!
Great quality!
I was given a free can of Premier Cabinet & Furniture Paint, Satin, Pure Black thanks to Butterly and Canadian Tire. It is higher quality than I expected and went on very smooth! I recommend this and will be buying another can soon!
Great For painting a cabinet
I highly recommend this cabinet paint for everyday use and is easy to use That's a fantastic product for refreshing tired furniture or cabinets! This specific line (often distributed as BeautiTone in some retailers) is known for its durability, but success really comes down to prep work.

Try again without Canvas
That's a breakdown of the Pure Black Satin paint. It's a great choice if you're prepared to put in the necessary sanding and cleaning work!
The major takeaway for any dark cabinet paint is the 12-hour recoat time. If you rush that step, the final finish won't cure properly and can remain soft.
Great product
We were excited to receive this paint to review, it came at the perfect time while we were doing some upgrades around the house. I used it to refresh three end tables, they look brand new!
Beautiful satin finish for a modern refresh.
I’ve recently been wanting to paint one of my cabinets black to match my aesthetic, so this paint came at the perfect time! At first it looked slightly lighter than a true black, but once it dried it turned into a deep, rich black with a nice matte finish. It did leave some streaks, so I needed a second coat, (which was expected) but it was really easy to use indoors which made life easier. I recently painted walls with a different paint, and the difference in smell was like night and day. I was impressed this one barely had any odor. Now my cabinet looks way better with my current decor and has the modern look I was going for.
Perfect paint for flipping furniture!
Super easy to use, goes on smooth, and dries durable and stain-resistant. Made my furniture project a breeze — definitely recommend for your next DIY!
Fantastic paint giving new life to furniture!
By sheer luck, I was offered the chance to test Premier Cabinet and Furniture Paint just as I was researching ways to bring new life into an old wardrobe. I decided on their pure black in satin sheen. After prepping the wardrobe and giving the paint a quick shake, I dove in with a brush and a small sponge roller. The application was truly a breeze—smooth, even, and beginner-friendly. One coat delivered impressive coverage, but I opted for a second to ensure a flawless finish. This premium melamine-finish paint claims superior durability and stain resistance, making it ideal for high-use furniture. Although I painted in my sunroom, the low-VOC formula makes this paint perfect for indoor projects. Cleanup was effortless, and per Premier’s guidance, the paint will fully cure in 14 days, promising a washable, long-lasting surface. In the end, this paint provided me with a sleek, professional look that transformed my wardrobe. If you’re tackling a furniture project, I highly recommend Premier Cabinet and Furniture Paint—you won’t be disappointed!
