Fun puzzle toy, but complicated

My 8 year old son is a huge fan of both Rubik’s cubes and Tetris, so this seemed like a perfect toy for him. His eyes lit up as soon as he opened it. The excitement faded quickly, though, when none of us could figure out how to play it. We looked inside the box for instructions and the only accompanying insert didn’t provide much guidance. We each had a different idea of how we thought the game was supposed to go. I looked the instructions up on the internet and we had a fun time after that, but it was still tricky. I do recommend this toy, but maybe for kids older than 8.
