I had heard that almond milk had less calories that cow's milk, so I gave it a try. I am not to fussy about it as a straight beverage but I use it in cooking and love it that way. Almond milk makes excellent custards and rice pudding and it cuts down the calories a bit, plus I am told it is healthier for me. I tried it in a shake; I tossed some ice cubes in the blender, threw in some fruit and some almond milk let it blend and found that to be a good way for me to drink it. Very tasty and low cal.

I was using soy milk exclusively when I was alerted to some negativity surrounding excess soy product use. I had tried almond milk in the past and found it tombs chalky and unpalatable. I tried silk almond milk on the recommendation of a friend and was quite pleased with the results! Now silk almond milk is the only non dairy dairy in my fridge!

Great alternative to cow's milk that is readily available at your local supermarket. I've converted to using almond milk for my dairy needs. From protein shakes to baked goods, it works well with it all. It is very smooth and not gritty like some of the other brands on the market. Can choose between the sweetened and unsweetened version.
