While the primer is effective initially I find that it only lasts for a few hours. The color correcting primer can also be a little bit greasier than the light primer. When using it as a base under my concealer I found it surprisingly helpful in keeping my skin clear. Its a good product but at ~$50 a tube I will only use it on special events and am looking for a new primer for regular use.
This primer fills in the pores and is very lightweight. That being said, I bought the green primer to cancel out the redness on my face and unfortunately it does not do that.
Awesome primer to use! I used it under the Smashbox BB tinted cream and loved the result. Wrinkles disappeared and it made my not so perfect skin look flawless!
I bought this to try and reduce the redness around my nose. It didn't however improve the redness and I was very disappointed.
I had high hopes for this but was disappointed. I have a lot of redness to my skin. I saw absolutely no difference to the correction of my colour. It looked the exact same with or without it. I did find it would cling my my dry areas, or areas that didn't feel dry or patchy until I put it on. So my foundation looked really dry and patchy. It still caused it to seperate throughout the day. I'd rather save my money and use a cheaper alternative that does better.
Photo Finish Primer is what is should be called. It is green in the tube, however when used on your skin, it does not cancel out the redness as much as I would have hoped. it does however make a silky smooth base for makeup, so I would use it as just a primer. The green colour I can do without, or to make the pigment stronger. I like the sze of the package, small enough so it doesn't overwhelm your makeup bag.
This is just an average primer with an above-average price. I really like the original Smashbox photo finish primer, and didn't find this particular one reduced redness any better.
It's a little pricey so I don't use it for everyday wear, but when I have an event to go to, or a night out with the girls it's my go-to for setting a full face of makeup. It keeps my make up in place, even if I'm out dancing and getting super sweaty.
I didn't like this as much as other color correcting serums. It dulled my skin and my tone is already on the lighter yellow side.
I have used these primers for years they really help people who have "roseycheeks" lol to get a much better finish when you apply foundation
