Cute little game with a cute little dog

My 5 year old loves the game. It was exciting when Soggy Doggy splashed us and gave us a good laugh. However, I’m not sure it’s something I would recommend though as it’s pretty simple and there’s not much to the game really, and the novelty wears off pretty quickly. Also, apart from the few minutes of fun, there seems to be no great benefits for the players, which is usually a plus for board games.

Very quick game, seems to be broken

I received this game free from Family Rated for myself and kids to review. My kids are 2 and 4 years old.

This game reminded us a lot of "Don't Wake Daddy", except you try to avoid the dog splashing you. I'm not sure if the game is defective but the pump portion doesn't go up on its own when you press it so we had to yank it up to continue to play (every single time you have to press it) and the dog only lasts a couple of turns before it goes off splashing. We following the set up instructions as well as the game instructions but even when the dog is supposed to splash it never actually splashes any water which was disappointing for the kids. The water just stays in the tub (even if you fill it all the way) although it says the dog is supposed to pick up the water to splash. I wish it lasted a bit longer before the dog attempts to splash because we could always anticipate when it was going to go off.

Also, in order to put the game away you need to make it dry and I found it took forever to dry and even when it dried it dripped water afterwards so we can't put it back in the box.

Regardless my kids still loved when it shook and ask when they can play it again.
