Cafes Reviews

A café requires just one thing to win our hearts: truly decadent coffee.  We've come across our fair share of snooty décor, name-dropping baristas, and lack of seating space, but all is forgiven when we're handed our immaculately brewed Americano or Soy Chai Latte - whichever's your preference.  The search for the next must-stop java joint is an urbanista's favourite pastime... and when we can find one that also serves a great lunch, well you had us at Bonjour!

In Toronto, we're partial to The Sandwich Box, Le Gourmand, and Sense Appeal Coffee Roasters.  Which is your favourite?

Triple 2 Moroccan mint ice tea

1 review

This coffee shop is a new hipster style cafe. So when I visited with my husband I expected something different and special. I normally drink ice tea when shopping so, upon seeing the summer menu featuring a Moroccan mint ice tea....something I have tried before elsewhere and...
Tim Hortons Lower Sackville

1 review

Tims used to be really good. You could go to any restaurant and trust you would get the same high quality, delicious food. Not so much any more since they sold out to the USA. Not only is the quality and flavour gone horribly down hill, but the cust. service has too! Bad food...
Steph's Cafe

1 review

I went to this café as it is right around the corner from my house and I like to support local businesses. The only employee around was outside smoking when I walked in and he did not come inside until I was standing at the counter for almost 30 seconds. The café also had a...
Heirloom Cafe Toronto Pearson

1 review

I flew out of Toronto Pearson recently and this company has taken over the airport. I saw 5 restaurants by them alone in the international terminal. The concept is cool, you order food off an ipad that sits at all the tables. But because you order your self the service sucks...
Starbucks Yorkdale

1 review

No matter what time of day you go Yorkdale mall is ALWAYS busy. While shopping, my fiancé and I wanted to get a quick coffee. Although the area to pick up your order was crowded, there was virtually no one in the line up to place an order. I ordered and paid for two drinks -...
Aroma Espresso Bar - Oshawa Centre

I was walking into the restaurant to grab some lunch to go but before doing so I grabbed a straw for my drink I purchased elsewhere ( I find the coffees a little too strong at aroma). Before I could even get a look at the menu and get in line, I had the lady working run over to...
Pineridge Hollow Gift Shop & Restaura

1 review

The teas, coffee and deserts are good. I really liked their Apple Pie/cobbler. The restaurant is in a particularly nice location too with a garden just outside. The sandwiches and salads are also worth a try. A big negative is; after eating our meals we were asked to leave by...
The Tea Party

2 reviews

My friends and I arrived there at 8.40 pm. The guy told us when we ordered that they run until 9 pm so, if we wanted anything after that time, he would serve it but to go. We all understood he meant if we ordered anything else. The tea cups arrived. They were dirty on the...
Tim Hortons-Lockport, NY

As a Boston cream enthusiastic, I actually visited the location during the summer and was utterly disappointed with the rancid boston cream. Tim Hortons is certainly a low-class, poor quality coffee shop.
Tim horton

I went to TIM HORTONS in Sault Ste Marie, ontario, canada on 3rd line and great northern road and the service was terrible and the manager was yelling at the workers and it was very disorganized in there with no order and poor management will not go back very uncomfortable visit
Tim Hortons Thorold

The Tim Hortons In Thorold (Ontario) Is super slow & always busy. Its mainly students who work and don't really care, just want to make money. They regularly mess up my coffees and suck at making bagels lmao
Tim Hortons St. Laurent

this particular location - at the St. Laurent Mall - is so disorganized. they moved it last year from the main food court part to just outside the upstairs doors. Whomever designed both the staff area and the customer area was on something! The line up is illogical and...

The starbucks coffee is amazing taste and its fresh but the price is a little more expensive if they just lower the price a little bit it would make it worth it.
Tim Hortons- Chocolate Chip Iced Capp

1 review

Everytime I go to my local TIm Hortons they either forget something in my order or give me very little of the product. They are never nice, I never get a hi or have a nice day, especially in the evening and afternoon. When I ordered this drink they did not give whip cream, when...

I go to a local one here in town. The coffee seems to be making a downward spiral as of late. BUT, their food is still awesome! the soups are great, the sandwiches are yummy...
Salted Caramel Iced Capp

The new salted caramel iced caps from Tim Hortons are delish. They are quit rich, so ordering a large size might not be wise, but a small one seems just right.
Bulldog Coffee

the staff here are rude and obnoxious, but the coffee and desserts are great- it is a trade off. I go back here every once and awhile thinking i could just ignore the staff but they are always telling someone off or griping about something very loudly. I gave up and am now...

Equator Roasters

I visited this cafe JUST for the amazing organic coffee, and decided to have breakfast as well. I had the Skillet breakfast. The poached egg was rubbery and the toast was cold. The sweet onion "jam" was delightful, though, and was a very welcomed surprise. I ended up buying two...
Jumping Bean Bedford

When this place first opened just over a year ago it took my Saturday morning cafe time from Starbucks in a flash. It had a great atmosphere with great tunes that were a backdrop rather than overpowering conversation. A couple times visitors even had a sing-a-long when great...
