I wanted some high end salon ,without paying lots:-)
I went to aveda institute,it's cheap b'coz the students work on ur hair cut.
I was given a warm welcome,with a cup of tea...seated,discussed what hair cut do i want...given a little neck n back massage!!:-)
then shampoo,hair cut which i loved.They take a little more time than the usual ,but who cares ,if in the end it looks great.

The main instructor keeps an eye ,and they do discuss it before each step ..so it's not like students r going to mess up ...

I really loved my experience there..and am planning to go for facials,and massages soon.

I was a little nervous about going to the Aveda Institute for a hair cut but I'm now a student on a budget and it's hard to beat a $15 haircut. I was assured that the students are well-supervised and I didn't want much more than a trim so I decided to chance it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. It took a long time but the student double-checked every move with an instructor before taking scissors to my hair. She did a fantastic job and I've been back since. I was very pleased!

I do have to say that it's not as relaxing as I would like my hair cutting experience to be - you're in a huge room with potentially a hundred other people so it's loud and busy. But for what I paid, I can live with that!
