As long as this place is in business, I will never go to anyone other than Derrick Farrell for my tattoos.

After much thought, I decided to get a portrait of Marilyn Monroe on my arm. That was the easy part. Finding a tattoo artist capable of doing fantastic portraits in Winnipeg was scary. I had no idea who to go to. I looked around at online portfolios and even debated going to another city. I actually had nightmares about going in for my tattoo and being left with a terrible, deformed version of my vision.

One day at work, a gentleman came through my line-up with a portrait of a child on his arm. It looked amazing! Immediately I asked him where it got it done. "Derrick Farrell of Diamond F Tattoo Studio" he said. He even showed me the picture the tattoo derived from. Right then and there, I made my choice.

Derrick has a great down to earth personality and a gentle hand. My first tattoo experience was terrifying, but this time around I was relaxed and comfortable. The shop itself is pretty cool and has a 50's vibe to it with various knick-knacks to look at (behind sealed glass shelving of course).

I still have one more sitting before my tattoo is finished, but even as it stands now it's amazing. I think the picture really speaks for itself. Obviously I'll update when it is finished, but I couldn't wait to rave about the artist!
