Michael's is the equivalent of home depot for crafters. I have always dabbled in crafts - knitting, crocheting, painting, scrapbooking and planning and there's just no other place where you can buy anything and everything. If you use their discount coupon things can get really affordable. I go there just to browse and get inspiration. My stop for christmas supplies.

Micheals

This is the best place to go if your looking for arts and crafts or want to start a new hobby. Also great for cake decorating. The items are a little pricey but if you add the app you can get weekly coupons which is a bonus

Favourite place for art supplies

I love shopping for arts and crafts supplies at michaels! I recently got this super cute scrapbook and stickers and glitter glue and I cannot wait to start decorating! One thing I really like about Michaels is the quality of their products and the amount of sales they have. Also if you sign up for their rewards program you can get up to 50% coupons daily!

Affordable Craft Store

I am a fan of Micheal's and stop in and browse the one in Durham at least once a month. I love crafting from making my own jewellery, painting, seasonal crafts and crocheting. I find the prices to be reasonable and they often have special discounts that are sent by email and when I get to the check out all I do I show them the coupon on my phone. They also have great tips on their website on DIY and sometimes hold special workshops aimed at certain crafts. I find their staff pleasant but sometimes hard to find, I have wandered the store for a good 15 minutes in search of a staff member only to give up and go to the checkout. My only complaints are one, the website is sometimes hard to navigate and search for specific items, the search function often comes up 'item not found' even when I know they carry the item I am looking for, I just wanted to know the price. My last complaint is that you can't shop online, I find it ridiculous that in this day and age they do not offer online shopping and delivery. I get that they want to get you in the store, but sometimes I can't be bothered and just want my items delivered to my home. Other than those two pet peeves, I love Micheal's - their store continues to inspire my creative side.

Crafting.

I love to shop at Michaels craft shop. They always have exactly what im looking for plus more. I always end up leaving with things I didnt intend on buying walking in to the store.

Michaels store is a crafters dream. They have every craft supply, my favorites being yarn, needles and crochet hooks. I love the coupon deals they have, which makes some of their expensive decor items more affordable. Their kids craft sets are awesome and they have them for every holiday. I recommend this store for anyone who loves to get creative

My favourite place to idle away time.

I have mixed feelings about Michael's. On the one hand, it's magical place, the Toys 'R' Us of crafters. Pencil crayons? Check. Stationary? Check. Yarn? Check. Clay, pots, wood, embroidery thread, scrapbooking, spray paint? Check, check, check, and CHECK. The sheer variety of things in one location makes this an easy place to spend time and money.

On the other hand, for someone who's grown up in craft stores, the quality of their stock is about average, and they don't carry a lot of specialized supplies. Their staff also generally don't have much more expertise than the average person would, so it's important to go in knowing what you need. They carry good entry-level supplies and some staples, but I'll always go to my local yarn store or woodshop for most of my needs. Also, their prices are pretty unreasonable if you don't use the coupons.

I go to Michael's whenever I need anything for crafts or creating. I have made so many things with items purchased at Michael's, like a dream catcher for a baby shower gift, clay business card holders, and paint for a new canvas painting.

Pretty

It's a good place to look for little trinkets and items to complete your crafts. The store itself just looks really pretty as well because everything would make good decor items just on their own.

Toy Store for Adults

Michaels is like a toy store adults, no not in the sexy way either!

Every crafting item you could ever think or need you could find there.

The prices are okay but they are good quality.

The people are helpful, too.
