Weleda was the brainchild of philosopher Dr. Rudolf Steiner, who taught people that their mind, body, spirit are intrinsically linked to the world as part of one holistic system. From this philosophy sprouted idea of creating health care products that used natural ingredients. These ingredients are cultivated in their own Biodynamic gardens, which they still grow today. This lotion smells great (not much of a smell which is even better) and really helped my daughters skin in a matter of days. It's very thick but goes on smooth and absorbs into the skin really quick. I've even used it on her bum. I little goes a long way.
