    Good, but not perfect

With three cats, I’ve used a lot of these things! Let me just say right away, this is in no way as effective as a sticky roller, it’s just not; they never are. When it comes to most hair, it does a stand-up job, but those hairs that get into the clothing fibre and stick half in and half out, those are where you need a sticky roller.

However, this is a great alternative to reduce your use or if you plain don’t like sticky rollers. The big benefit of this is that it’s reusable and environmentally friendly compared to sheet after sheet of sticky paper. I really like that it’s double-sided and that the ‘base’ accumulates hair to be cleaned out at once, allowing you to easily clean the brush. It is quite stiff to take out of the base, there’s a knack to it, you must wiggle. Once you get it, you’ll do it easily each time.

I do have some minor complaints other than the fact that it won’t take ALL hair off (common for these type of rollers). Firstly, I find it annoying that you can’t tell which way is which. For these, one way will deposit hair (for cleaning) and the other will take it off. When you go over the surface, you’ll feel a ‘drag’ when it’s removing hair, but prior to using it, there’s no way to tell which way it is. I wish there was an arrow or something.

Secondly, the travel one is really rubbish. The original size brush isn’t that big anyway, so I’d rather take that with me. I just found the travel one impossible to do, the surface is too close to the storage base and it makes it hard to move it around.

Overall, a good brush that is reusable and will remove the majority of cat hair, but suffers from the same flaws as other brushes of this nature.
