This is a good sized bottle of Aloe Vera gel that will last a long time. I am a bit conflicted about this product. It contains effective active ingredients to help with sunburns, but its presentation and consistency are not what I am accustomed to. I applied this product to my arms, chest, and neck after a mild sunburn to test its effeciveness.

The bottle is coloured green, however, the product is actually clear in colour. I was not a fan of the scent – I can’t really describe it but to me it just has a weird sweet smell. Its consistency is really runny, and not gel like comparable products. This made application and absorption tricky. I found that it absorbed ok into my arms after a bit of rubbing and setting time. My chest and neck were a different story – this product was difficult to apply in these areas. The product was just too runny – like water, and did not absorb well. I needed extra coverage on my chest, and its runniness made it difficult to apply extra layers of product.

After application, the weird sweet smell remained, but was not too noticeable. It was mildly tacky at first, but this sticky/tackiness went away quickly and my skin became quite smooth.

In terms of effectiveness, it did not have a nice cooling effect feel to it, like other similar products I have used. However, it seemed to help my sunburn heal and diminish by the next day.

Due to its runny consistency, I would probably not buy this again. I prefer to use gels with the cooling effect.

I received this product at a discounted price in return for my honest review.

This Aloe Vera comes in a handy pump container – making it MUCH easier to dispense compared to alternatives in squeeze bottles. The pump seems higher quality and will definitely outlast the Gel! Just be careful not to squeeze too much out of the pump, or it ends up dripping everywhere due to the thinness of the gel.

The gel itself was a surprise – it is much thinner than alternative aloe vera gels I have used in the past. I do find with the texture of the gel this that less gel is required for relief AND it dries that much quicker than the alternatives.

It has no scent, so should be great for people with scent allergies, and does not leave my fingers feeling sticky after application. My skin also feels instant relief after use, and does not leave a sticky residue on it after application.

We use this for application on sun burns after too much sun, after cycling against the wind in the heat (yay wind burn!), and have even used it on the dogs (and ourselves) after bug bites.

My skin has not broken out, and it did not seem to both the dogs when we used it on them.

I do appreciate that it is organic – we only have so much natural aloe in our house to use during the summer, and this gel will definitely get us through the summer!

*** I received this product at a reduced or no cost for my fair and fabulous review ***
