Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine Cologne Absolue Reviews
#1469 in Perfume

Description

Orange Sanguine, a zesty and energizing burst of crushed ripe fruit, plays off sweet blood orange juice against bitter orange peel and sensual notes of geranium. This cologne brings to mind relaxed mornings, sun rises, and soft sea breezes.

    Best Cologne Ever!

If you love fruity scents, you would LOVE this! I love the strong citrus scent and it lasts for a long time. I want to purchase their bigger bottle someday

A juicy summer scent with just enough sophistication

I recently ordered a collection of fragrances from Atelier Cologne from Sephora, and this is one of my faves. It has a juicy orange scent, but it doesn't smell like something a teenager would wear. It has more of a bitter orange scent with just enough sweetness. I love it as a summer scent (I've been wearing it all summer) especially when paired with another one in the collection, Vanille Insensee. You will smell like the best adult creamsicle in the WORLD!

Orange Sanguine Scent: I found the orange sanguine scent refreshingly light with fresh citrus notes. I'm glad that it has a slight zest to it rather than a sickly sweet fruity nose. It's like something you haven't smelled before yet it seems familiar somehow. This scent surrounds you in warm comforting fragrant blanket. And while it lingers close to the skin for hours I do wish it lasted longer with more of a powerful kick even though it's probably made to be worn as a cologne. The lingering hint can only be picked up if you sniff the area where you applied on your skin. Somehow this scent reminds me of being in those Italian perfume shops where orange is a highly popular scent. This is a really great fragrance for those hot and humid summer days ahead.
Vanille Insensée Scent: This is my favorite of the two as it's more creamier and heftier in strength. The vanilla is not sugary at all nor does it turn to a nauseating sweet scent after the dry down. You can distinguish the woodsy undertones and it almost has a slight hint of actual incense to it. This is a very unusual vanilla cologne scent and is simply gorgeous! It has great staying power and after a few hours you pick up a waft of deliciousness that is almost haunting. Again, as with the orange scent it's not as strong as I would like it to be and maybe because it's not as rich as a parfum but I definitely would buy this one again out of the two. It's a delectable dreamy cologne!

This is such an amazing scent, and it seems perfect for hot summer days. It's also a nice little change sometimes from the usual stuff I like to wear for summer, like anything with coconut. I love the fresh blood orange fragrance of this, but it also has a sexy undertone to it as well. It's very easy to enjoy, and it has a mysterious quality that I love! I got this in a fragrance sample bag from Sephora, and would definitely purchase it in the future.

I absolutely am smitten by anything with an citrus scent, particularly blood orange, and in this case, orange sanguine. Fresh and reminiscent of a Tuscan summer, I get compliments when I wear it. You might need to spritz on twice (one during the day and one in the evening) to refresh. The bottle is lovely, and the travel size is perfect for one's handbag.

This will definitely be my signature scent come the warmer season.

I first experienced this fragrance with a small sample vial received through BirchBox, and immediately fell in love with it.

If you want to capture the moment of peeling an orange, this scent is for you. Atelier has captured the scent of a freshly peeled orange in a way that doesn't smell synthetic or overly perfume-y (synthetic orange scents can often be reminiscent of orange household cleaners - yikes!). I was so happy when I was able to find a purse sized spritzer of this fragrance at Sephora. This perfume is so fresh and uplifting it makes the perfect travel fragrance, especially as a refresher on hot and balmy summer days.

The scent is crisp and intense when first sprayed. Unfortunately (like many citrus scents) this fragrance doesn't have a whole lot of staying power, which is a bit disappointing because it is pricey. Despite this one draw-back I still love the scent so much that I will continue to keep it in my perfume collection.

I love this perfume! I received a sample in the April 2012 Birchbox and I'm definitely planning on purchasing the full size product. I typically don't enjoy citrus perfumes because in my experience they smell cheap. This one smelled so good and it even earned a compliment from my husband!
