It's so easy to patch a hole or touch up a dent on the wall with DAP Wall Repair Patch Kit. It goes on pink and dries white - that's your cue to sand and paint. It comes with all the things you need. So fast and easy that I can do it myself.

It will be great if it comes with a smaller putty knife for smaller area.

A must have in your household

Thank you to Butterly and DAP for sending this product for free in exchange for an honest review. We’ve actually been using this spackling kit for a few years now, and would highly recommend it (especially if you have kids). We constantly have dings and stuff in our walls now with children, and this spackling kit makes it easy to repair for future painting. It goes on pink and dries down to white, and the unique dry time indicator lets you know when it’s time for the sanding, and eventually painting. It’s easy enough for anyone to use even if you aren’t a “handy” person (which I am certainly not). Would recommend.

Great patchup kit

I received this free product to try out. Well I thought this product a great job in patching up holes in walls and ceilings. The Drydex time indicator came handy as it goes on pink then dries to white that way I knew where I already patched up. Great product for home renovation and general contractors.

Good all-in-one!

I received the DAP Alex Plus Caulk & Drydex Spackling Kit for free from Butterly. I used it to repair a hole in my drywall that was 4" in diameter. Overall, I would say that the product is good for drywall repairs. The kit was handy, and I would probably buy it in the future. The kit came with a 237 ml tub of spackling, a fiber tough patch, a 2" plastic putty knife and a small (3”x4”) piece of 100 grit sandpaper. The spackling was thick and not easy to spread. The 2" plastic putty knife too narrow and used my own 4" putty knife for better spreading and feathering around the edges of the patch. I found the fiber patch to be quite thick, so a second coat of spackling was needed because the edges of the fiber patch were visible after the first coat dried. Each step required a day for the spackling to dry. The piece of sandpaper was small to handle and I couldn’t get a good grip on it. I resorted to using my own larger piece of sandpaper to finish the job. The final result was very good, but it helped that this was not my first drywall repair. Overall, I would recommend the DAP Alex Plus Caulk & Drydex Spackling Kit if you have some experience with drywall repair. It was a quick way to repair a hole in drywall, as the patch and small tub of spackling made the job easier.

Great for patching walls

I received this as a free sample and I love it. It was thicker than I expected, however it went on easily and is great for filling in larger cracks and gaps in the wall. I love that it was pink and then dries to white so I know when it is ready for sanding and painting. The kit comes with the applicator, patch, sand paper, and the compound. Easy to follow instructions too. The most difficult part was opening the little pink top! Thanks to Home Depot and Butterly for the free product! I will use it again, makes my home repairs, quick and easy now!

Easy To Use

I received the Dap Drydex dry time indicator spackling kit for free in exchange for my review. I love that the kit comes with a patch, sand paper, spackle and a tool to use it. Everything you need to repair a hole in your wall. I love that the product goes on pink and drys white to you know when it’s ready to sand and paint. I found it quite easy to use and the spackle had a good consistency. I may not be that great at spackling, but with a few coats the hole will be fixed. The only con I would say is that the instructions say you need to apply spackle to the patch before applying to hole. I found this a little messy. I would prefer the patch to already have some sort of adhesive on it to stick to surface.

DAP Repair Patch Kit

Love this product works good, I have used it before love that the patch kit comes with everything you need. If I have only one negative thing to say is sometimes it cracks when it dries and gets a bit flaky. But it it great once you sand it down and paint over it!
