Easily Forgotten
I received the Dreamworks Dragon as a free product from Butterly and Spin Master to test with my children 3,7,10. Unfortunately this one was not popular and as soon as the box was opened and the dragon's wings and tail put on my children promptly lost the toy and it hasn't been asked about since. The colors are nice, the box is ok (didn't really open nicely) but the wings seemed to fall off a lot and as stated none of my three children seemed very interested after the first few minutes whereas other toys we have reviewed from Spin Master have been played with constantly since receiving them. Sadly this one was a miss with my kids.
Tiny dragon is a hit ! Perfect for little hands
My child is a big fan of Dragon movies he instantly recognised and the excitement was so real. He immediately started flying the dragon and running around the house pretending. The detailing of dragon is nice it feels so real as in the movie. I really liked that it encouraged story telling and pretend play. Definitely buying more of these toys from spin master
It’s a cute surprise…
Feels sturdier than say chocolate surprise toys and so means it will last longer. The theme will interest children but I can see them losing interest within an hour of playing. The crate however lends itself to open play and storytelling which is fantastic. I do think they could cut down on the plastic inside (use paper instead). For those who like to collect little figurines and enjoy HTTYD, this might be for them. Little ones will have lots of fun popping this crate open over and over again and hopefully use it to keep their little treasures as well.
Flying Dragons Everywhere!
Thank you to @thisisbutterly for sending me this product to try! I have no kids of my own, but my cousin has a couple of kids that I really wanted to give this to, so I did! And they LOVED it! In their words, they said, "It's so cool that it blasts the dragon out! I really like that it flies out really, really fast!". They also found it very easy to set up, making it the perfect toy for their age group! I'd love to give more Spin Master toys as gifts!
The Joy of Dreamworks Dragons
And what a fun ‘Family Day’ this year has been, as I was recently given a free opportunity to test out one of the various Dreamworks Dragons, ‘World of Berk: Trial of Flame Arena Dragons’. Or should I say 6-year old Joey did.
Due to the fact in which this set is composed of a number of small pieces, I made sure to supervise the opening and playing of his new toy, which was composed of a 2” dragon whose tail and wings had to be put together. The other unique pieces included an arena stall two pieces that are meant to hold him in.
Being very imaginative, it was cute to watch the way in which Joey immediately took to play as he made as if his new friend, ‘firedrake’ as he called it, broke through the arena stall before flying through the air. He then went on to incorporate it with some of his other toys to create whole new adventures, before saying how he cannot wait to show off his new friend to his pals.
Although I felt content to watch how much fun his new Trial by Flame Arena Dragon brought him, childhood memories kept creeping back as I said to myself, ‘if only we could be young again’!
Thank you Dreamworks Dragons for allowing us the opportunity to bring back enjoyment and childhood memories. Having informed Joey that his new friend is only one of 10 figurines, Joey cannot wait to add on to his new ‘Battle Dragons’ action figures, so that he can build his own collection for endless fun.
I would encourage anyone who has a child that loves expanding their growing imagination to try out a ‘World of Berk: Arena Dragons’. (Please note the following for important details.)

This Dragon is Fire (so kids still say that?)
First of all, if you have a kid who loves dragons (or anything imaginative and dramatic), this toy hits that sweet spot between action and storytelling. The details are surprisingly good, the wings, the texture, the little features really make it feel like it stepped right out of the arena in How to Train Your Dragon.
What I love most is that it encourages actual play. Not just push-a-button-and-watch-it-do-everything play, but real, imaginative, create-your-own-battle-scene play. My kids immediately creating a narrative of a trapped angry dragon and it turned into this whole storyline situation.
It’s also a great size. Big enough to feel exciting, but not so massive that it takes over the entire house (we have enough of that happening already 😅).
If your child is into dragons, adventure, or anything from How to Train Your Dragon, this is a solid pick. It’s fun, durable, and actually keeps them engaged longer than five minutes, which, let’s be honest, is the real test.
Definitely a win in our house. 🐉🔥
Dragon fun!
My son is very into dragons and dinosaurs. He's always asking us to make cages for them. The Dreamworks Dragons, World of Berk: Trial of Flame Arena Dragons toy was perfect for him. He lives how he can make the dragon burst from its pen and bust down the door in the process. Best of all, it's fast and easy for him to reset it by himself so he can do it over and over.
He's subsequently started watching the movies over again and playing with the toys while he watches. He loves it!
Cute but boring
Gave it to a 6 year old. The boy had a great time playing with the box the dragon came in. The dragon was hard to put together for a child let alone an adult. When the toy was given to the child it was boring because there was only 1 in the box. Again the child preferred the box over the toy.
We got Toothless!
we received toothless, YAY. he came in 4 pieces inside the arena box was easy to pop together and he stays together while playing, he is great quality not sure what he is made of but it's good stuff and can handle my daughter popping him out hours at a time no stress lines on him what so ever, she loves it.
So this is a need to collect them all one that's for sure.
Epic Mini Dragon Arena — Big Fun in a Small Set
I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of this dragon arena toy. The pieces feel sturdy and well made, not flimsy, which is important because it gets a lot of active play. The details on the dragon are colorful and fun, and everything fits together easily. My child was excited right away and jumped straight into pretend battles and storytelling. It kept their attention longer than I expected, which is always a good sign.
What I liked most is how it encourages imagination instead of just being a toy you look at. It feels designed for real play, not just display. After seeing how much enjoyment came from this set, I’m definitely more interested in trying other toys from Spin Master. Overall, it’s a fun, durable toy that delivers exactly what you hope for — excitement, creativity, and repeat play.
