I purchased the "Love" punch to make Valentine's this year (2017). I have used the "Love" Punch for 10 cards already, and absolutely love the beautiful scrawling word it punches onto each card! The punch has a little yellow plastic locking mechanism that "closes/locks" the punch when your done. I am not a huge fan of this lock because it seem pretty wobbly and likely to break eventually just from sliding back and forth. The punch will still function properly without the latch but would be annoying for when you are finished and want tot lock and store it. Overall I would rate this product 5 stars for working well and producing the result I was looking for. But only 3 stars for quality because of the locking mechanism being cheaply made.
