Product doesn't go on the brush

I love the flexible yet structured brush of this product, but for some reason, the product doesn't stick to the brush very well. It's hard to get product on my lashes even though it does a great job combing through / not leaving any clumps. Don't think I will be buying drug store mascara ever again
