I am a huge fan, I never tried anything like this before. This 5-bladed razor is amazing, I could shave my legs faster and better. I really like the moisturizing strip on the razor. I was impressed with how long my legs stayed smooth after using it. There is only one negative thing,I don't like the price of the refills.

This is the best shaver ever...leaves my legs so smooth, and don't seem to nick my skin nearly as often as other shavers. Like the feel of the handle, and simply just like the 'look' of it!!

I have to say, that this is one of the best razors I have ever used.
Since it came out, I have been using Venus Breeze (the purple one with the huge strips of soap), and nothing else.
I got this in a free sample in the mail, and am actually going to switch to Venus Embrace! :)

1. The handle is a great shape for holding it comfortably.
2. The head is a pretty good size (not too small, not too big).
3. It's pretty!! Limegreen blue = my favourite!
4. It leaves your skin VERY soft after shaving.
5. And the best part, very little razor burn!! After shaving, I usually have big, red, painful razor burn and ingrown hairs, but not with this razor :)

The ONLY thing that might not be as great about this razor is that I found it needed to be rinsed more often than other razors, as in, it clogged with hair pretty easily.

I definitely recommend this razor to anyone! Even people with sensitive skin!

I to got a free sample of the Gillette Venus Razor in the mail and I gave it to my daughter to shave her legs since she is the one that is particular which razor she uses, and she says thats the one so now I will be purchasing this product from now on...

Theres so many versions of Venus razors out there but I find the one that they First came out with to be the best. The rest just have extra blades more moisture strips, or shave gel bars. All unnecessary ., but works to sell products. I've tried all the varieties before. I keep using the original Venus because its the most cost effective. Its great for legs but do not try and shave past your bikini area with this. Its got too much plastic around the blades that you cant get into difficult to reach areas. I find a mens razor works better down under lol. Anyways smooth legs no matter how you attain them are always better then hairy ones. So this is a great choice as are many others of woman's shavers.

Growing up mom always told me to never shave as the hair grows much more thicker and more stubborn. What do daughters do best - ignore MOM. Anyhow I have to say that I've had a love/hate relationship will all the shavers that I have tried. My hair on my legs also grows back coarse however the pain of waxing stops me from going to the salon and just accepting the fact that I will be a shaver. I find that other shavers always nic me, or don't do as good of a job shaving off all the hair. I've received the Venus Embrace as a "Freebie" and I have to say it was probably one of the best freebies that I received. Not only does it do a really great job of shaving all the hair on my leg - must have to do with the 5 layers of blade - but I always find that it does not nic my leg. I love the contour of the handle - feels like a gel handle that you're able to hold in your hand with comfort. Love the product and would recommend it to all your girls out there. I've been given several free Venus Embrace's which I've shared with all my girlfriends and they all love it too!!! I know that it's a little more expensive than some of the disposables - but all worth it and plus there are a lot of coupons that you can get for $1 - $2 off.

Although it is quite pricey compared to other choices, this razor works really well. With the 5 blades I found I could shave my legs faster and better than less blade razors. The handle has a perfectly placed spot for my pointer finger to press down as I direct the head over any area.
One downfall is I found the head quite large to effectively get into my armpit. Maybe my 'crease' is deeper than average but a smaller head shaves my underarm better.

This razor is wonderful. Great close shave...I just feel like putting it on the hanger is useless...unless it gets wet the moisture strip does nothing!!!

I started using this razor 3 years ago, and I'm in love with it. It never cut me, and it leaves my legs feeling sooo smooth.

The Venus Embrace has been my go-to razor for the past few years and I'm pretty pleased with its quality and effectiveness. It does leave my legs feeling smooth and I rarely need to shave the same area twice, when the blade is new. After a few uses, however, the blade does start to turn dull and I notice that it does miss a few spots here and there, but I guess that's only normal. I do get inor cuts the first time I use a fresh blade.

I find these razors and their replacement blades to be a little too pricey. The razor is comfortable to hold and you can change the blades very easily with the push of a button. The old blade falls out and you just snap the new one in. I like the moisturizing ribbons and when they fade away, you know you need to change the blade. It's a good way to ensure you always have a sharp razor to work with. Not every Venus razor comes with this feature though.
