HEX BOTS Nano - creepy cool and fun

This hex bot nano toy was a bit hit with the kids. It moves in a pretty creepy and strangely realistic way…reminded me of a creepy crawly insect. Kept my kids entertained for a decent amount of time. It’s a pretty cool tiny little toy…will likely end up getting one for each of my kids.

A nice little nano robot that scurries around everything and everywhere. I would definitely recommend it for your lil ones to play with these tiny robots as they will have so much fun going after them.

Cute toy, great stocking stuffer!

Our son is loving this toy. He thinks it’s so funny to pretend he’s putting bugs on you. It doesn’t work on carpet but he’s found lots of other places to play with it like tabletops or the kitchen floor.

We’ve always been big fans of HEX BOTS Nano toys, but we usually go for the solid-colored ones. I received this cobra-design version to give my honest feedback, and while the vibrant design caught my eye, my 8-year-old—being a girly girl—wasn’t too keen on it. That said, she still enjoys playing with it, which speaks to how engaging these toys are.

We often use HEX BOTS for our STEM activities, and they’re a hit every time. Creating custom mazes and watching it navigate through them is a great hands-on learning experience. Its vibration mimics the movement of a real bug, and when it flips over, it even struggles to right itself like an actual insect—super realistic and entertaining!

If we had another, we’d love to do a race. Spin Master offers a variety of designs to suit different preferences, so while this cobra design wasn’t my daughter’s favorite, there are many other HEX BOT Nano styles to explore.

Each HEX BOT Nano retails between $9-13, which feels a bit steep for a single toy of this size. However, its durability and the sheer fun it provides make it worth considering if you’re looking to invest in a high-quality STEM toy.
