A Fancy-Feeling Tuna Meal That Still Keeps It Simp

I enjoyed the Rio Mare Insalatissime Corn and Light Tuna Salad as a great for on-the-go snack/meal, post-workout fuel, or a quick meal when you just don’t feel like prepping. For me it’s the convenience without compromising on taste, quality, or nutrition! The Tuna Couscous was packed with chickpeas, peas and tomatoes for a tasty flavour combination. These are surprisingly elevated for a canned tuna meal (I’m used to tuna-and-mayo combo, so this felt like a step up). I found them light and the tuna isn’t heavy or oily, plus the different veggie combos add a nice sweetness that balances it out. They have a good texture mix with firmer tuna pieces than I expected so it doesn’t feel mushy. Seasoning is mild but pleasant. I like how they are super easy to eat straight from the can. Not necessarily something I’d crave, but definitely not bad. A solid option when I want something quick and a bit more “put together” than my usual tuna routine. I am always on the hunt for easy ready-meals rich in protein and carbohydrates, as a smart easy choice for a quick, simple, easy balanced high protein content and nutritious ingredients, making it a smart choice!

Amazingly delicious and nutritious

I love love this tuna and couscous salad. Typically, this isn’t a combination I’s reach for but wow, I was blown away.

This tuna salad is super convenient. It’s great for on the go (like work lunches) or for a quick work from home bite to eat. No mixing. No mess. No dishes.

The textures work well together and it’s super flavourful. High protein, nutritious and satiating. It’s the perfect combination for lunch.

There is no fishy smell, so it’s office safe (lol). I’m converted and keep these stocked up! Definitely recommend

Convenient and tasty lunch!

We loved the convenience of these tuna meals and how easy they are to pack for quick lunches on the road! The couscous was a little dry but the tuna was packed full of flavour!

Delicious blend

I like the light flavour but it was filling with the grains, chickpeas and tuna. I was quite surprised. It also had a great variety of veggies in it too. I did find that it was filled to the top, which is a great thing, but a little harder to eat as the couscous would try and fall out the can. So delicious and a must try.

A Nice Mediterranean-style Choice!

The Couscous and Light Tuna variety is a nice Mediterranean-style choice when you want a meal that feels light and fresh rather than heavy. Fluffing it up with a fork helps to regain the texture of the couscous. The sweet tomatoes, chickpeas, and peas together with the tuna flakes are a great combination. There is also a bit of olive oil that helps to combine the ingredients but it doesn’t have a greasy residue. It’s perfect for busy days, and you truly cannot beat the convenience of being able to eat it straight out of the tin!

Different way to enjoy salad

I wish it has a larger size, I can devour 2 cans of this. The texture of the couscous, with the veggies and the tuna makes this meal really good. I can say that it is a gourmet meal in a can.

Healthy Delicious Lunch solution under 30 seconds

This is the perfect solution for a lunch that can be made in under 30 seconds. Just crack open a can and place it on lettuce, add some olive oil and red wine vinegar...Boom! Satisfying. Healthy. And sooo tasty.

I also liked the feature of being able to track where and how the tuna was caught. This should be mandatory.

I really enjoyed this one! All the flavours blended nicely together and the tuna was top notch! It had a great balance of couscous, veggies, and tuna. It tasted so good... I can't wait to have it again!

Overall, I like that I can take Rio Mare Insalatissime Tuna Salad anywhere and it's ready to eat at any time! It is high in protein and a tasty balanced meal. I am not compromising a healthy meal for convenience at all! I also like how many flavour options there are, so I can take a different for lunch each day of the week!
