My dog loves this food. Shes tried many expensive brands, raw food, everything and this is the only one she doesnt seem to get sick of or get sick from. Keeps her coat shiny and soft, shes a healthy energetic middle aged dog

    Great product

First off, let me say that when you buy a higher quality food (that doesn’t have corn as a first ingredient), you get less poop. My dog eats Iams brand food (as do our cats). Better quality means healthier dogs. Healthier dogs mean less vet visits, which makes happy owners. I usually purchase the big bag, but lately have found that my usual stores do not always have it.

    What to feed your dog

When I went to pick out dog food for my newly adopted dog, I looked at all the ingredients and the recommended daily amount of food to give him. Out of all the brands I looked at, Iams had highest content of carbohydrates and protein and the lowest recommended daily amount. To me that meant that Iams had less filler than other brands. Iams is a bit more expensive, but since there are more servings per bag, I'm guessing the cost/day to feed my dog is actually less than other brands. My shelti/shepherd cross is now 12 years old and as lively as ever. His vet says he still has great muscle tone and there are no symptoms of cancer or arthritis. He's a happy, healthy dog and I think that, in part, that's due to feeding him Iams.
