This is the only coffee we'll drink! Delicious, and responsible!

Definitely an experience drinking this coffee.. I found it to be very bitter, and almost burnt tasting. I could barely finish the cup, and only did because I didn't want to offend the host. It's a very strong coffee, "kicking" is right!

I very much enjoy dark roasts. The challenge I find is that many of them are either burnt or overly bitter from poor roasting. This coffee does a very good job of being a strong dark roast that is full of flavor without any hint of burnt or bitter flavors. It is very dark and oily and the small portion that did not fit in my airtight container dried out a bit and was not as strong flavored. That took over 3 weeks though due to the volume of coffee and it was still better than other dark roasts I have tried. I have used this for guests to eat with pies and cake over the holidays and all of them commented on its excellent flavor. A couple who don't really like dark roast did request some cream, but still gladly had multiple cups.

Love the taste of kicking horse coffee. My favorite roast is 'Kick Ass' (comes complete with a little picture of a donkey). One thing I will say though is that I have found taste differences between one pound and the next. There seems to be a quality inconsistency, which can be disappointing. Also I'm paying more like $15.99 a pound, not $12.99. But regardless, I love Kicking Horse. The smell and look of the beans when you open the bag is out of this world!

I’ve never had a bean coffee, where I have to grind my own beans, so I was excited to try that process out. The beans smelled amazing, after grinding it, it smelled even more amazing!!
After the amazing smell of the coffee before it was even brewed, I couldn’t wait to brew my Kicking Horse Coffee.
from the first sip I was SOLD! It had a nice smooth taste. I’m not one for strong coffee and this was perfect for me.
A friend of mine got to try it with me. He too couldn’t believe how amazing it smelled and how great it tasted. He was sold on Kicking Horse Coffee too.
A few highlights that I love about this coffee is the first it being a Canadian company. The second is it’s Canada’s number one organic and Fair Trade coffee. This makes me feel good knowing I’m getting the best and doing the best with this coffee. And lastly, Kicking Horse Coffee, started small out of a big idea and is now being made in a 20,000 square-foot facility. WOW, I love hearing about dreams coming true like this one.
Another plus for Kicking Horse Coffee is they not only sell coffee but also Tea, Chocolate Bars(mmm…) and other accessories to drink your hot drinks with.
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Kicking Horse Coffee. Amazing taste, many flavors to choose from and they care for the planet.

Kicking Horse is one of my favourite coffee brands out there. I usually love the smell of coffee but not the taste, but in this case, both are amazing! The coffee has a very smooth flavour to it. I don't have the yucky aftertaste on my tongue that I get with other coffees. It is an organic product as well, so what more could you ask for? :) A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it in my opinion.

Recently my husband and I made the switch from preground coffee to purchasing beans and grinding them ourselves. As we have experimented with various types of beans and brands, we have come to discover the many blends offered by Kicking Horse Coffee. As mentioned in the previous review, it is a Free Trade, Certified Organic coffee that is roasted in Canada!!

They offer various blends and roasts with fabulously creative names: ex. 454 Horsepower, Grizzly Claw, Bugaboo, Cliff Hanger Espresso!! Upon opening the bag, the most delightful smell will engulf your senses!! The beans themselves are shiny and perfect and the brew even better. Smooth and not bitter, each blend offeres a distinct and most enjoyable cup of coffee.

We often holiday near the Kicking Horse facility in Invermere, BC and are actually going to stop in next time we are in the area. Greatly recommend this awesome coffee company!!

Are you like me in the morning?

If I haven't had that first cup of coffee, I'm in no talking mood and I'm kind of grouchy.
And don't give me those weak commercial coffees they sell everywhere. They just don't cut it for me.
I'm quite a coffee addict also and I simply love a good cup of coffee.

I'm not gonna be naming brands here but...
I need my coffee to be strong and with some built in character. It needs to great tasting too.
It needs to give me some ooomph! to start me up.
Well I've found that coffee in Kicking Horse Coffee.
Made in BC. Canada, this Tasty, Organic Fair Trade coffee has been around since 1996 and growing ever since. The owners, Leo Johnson and Elana Rosenfeld started their company in their garage back then and have grown into a bigger company but are still based in the same small town.
They are now Canada's no 1 organic Fair Trade coffee company.
Kicking Horse offers a wide variety of different blends of organic Fair Trade coffee, organic Fair Trade Indian Chai and loads of other great items.
Kicking Horse also believes in community involvement and here are a few of the many groups they are involved in:
The Banff Mountain Film & Book Festival,
    Purple Hill Humanitarians
    Habitat for Humanity
    Living Lakes Network Canada

They are also now the largest Fair Trade roasters in Canada,
All their coffee is 100% Certified Fair Trade and 100% Certified Organic.
Fair trade benefits the farmer by guarantying him a better price for his coffee, bringing him an economic stability and a higher standard of living. It benefits the coffee lover by giving him or her the
option to buy according to principles and values.
All Kicking Horse Coffee comes from Arabica beans that have been grown in a bird friendly environment.
Has also been grown under a light canopy of varied vegetation at high altitudes creating a superior coffee cherry (bean) and a more resilient ecosystem.
When buying a Kicking Horse coffee product you know you're doing the earth a world of good.
