Small piece of luxury - is it worth it?

I really enjoyed trying the L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream. The packaging is beautiful and feels very premium—the tube is compact and easy to carry in a bag, which makes it convenient to reapply throughout the day.

The cream itself feels rich and nourishing, and it absorbs nicely without feeling too greasy. It leaves my hands soft and moisturized, especially right after applying. I did find that I need to reapply it regularly for the best results, but since it’s easy to carry around, that wasn’t a big issue for me.

Gorgeous hand cream!

There is no better hand cream for me than this. It is not greasy, absorbs very quickly & makes hands nice and supple. It repaired the natural protection and closed the cracks in not even a week.Very pleasant, especially on cold days. And the smell is simply refreshing and not too scented.

Super rich moisturizer that is also luxurious

This is probably the most luxurious hand cream I’ve ever tried. The iconic packaging is gorgeous.

The product itself is extremely moisturizing. It instantly soothes dry and cracked hands. I found that this winter we’ve been having has been significantly colder and drier than previous years and this cream has been a lifesaver for my hands, especially my knuckles and my dry elbows. The formula coats the skin but absorbs nicely, not leaving that tacky or greasy feeling.

I wasn’t crazy about the scent, I found it to be rather strong and pungent. I’d much prefer something more neutral or unscented. The scent lingers, but it dissipates, which made it tolerable for me. Regardless of the scent, this product really does work. I’ve noticed a huge different in my skin health on my hands. Even my husband enjoys it!

This is on the more luxurious side for hand creams and it really does out perform any drugstore hand cream that I’ve tried before. A little bit goes a very long way, so this tube will absolutely last a long time. The package also allows for you to use every single last drop, which I love! This is now a staple in my work bag as well as my night stand. My hands are super thankful for this!

Great protection for dry hands

This hand cream has a rich, thick texture that takes a little time to warm up and absorb into the skin. It is formulated with 20% shea butter and does a great job of moisturizing and protecting my dry hands from cracking in cold, dry weather.

It leaves a slightly greasy finish, but it isn’t sticky or uncomfortable. The fragrance is the same luxurious baby powder scent that feels classic and cozy, though it’s noticeably stronger than I remember.

I do wish the formula were a bit more hydrating, as it may not be sufficient for deeper skin cracks or very compromised skin. Additionally, the thick consistency combined with the aluminum tube makes it somewhat difficult to squeeze out, requiring a bit of hand strength.

Overall, it’s a solid protective hand cream for dry weather, especially if you enjoy a rich texture and powdery scent.

Thick hydration for the harsh winter

For someone with eczema, I'm always reaching out for moisturizing hand creams to keep my flare ups at bay especially during winter. The 20% shea butter formulation keeps my skin super hydrated even after several washes and after a week of continuous use, I notice a difference in the softness and hydration of my skin. I would rate this 4.75/5 stars with a small deduction to the richness of the cream, for me it takes a while for my skin to absorb it so it does feel sticky in the beginning. But otherwise, the hydration benefits outweigh the stickiness!

Perfect for cold dry winters

I’m always impressed by loccitane and its products. I used this moisturizer and could still feel softness days later. It’s truly made a difference of my skin. It’s not oily which I love! And leaves my hands soft and smooth.

Makes hands soft and supple, has a great effect on all the wrinkles and dry patches. Great for sensitive skin as well, no stinging or itches noted. A must have in the winters.

Heavy Hand Cream

After using this product for a few good weeks now in our Canadian Winter weather, it is a cream to use in the interm. It does soak in quickly. If you use it, should be only at night either with gloves or if you don't want to have grease stains on your bedding. Or if you use it, use it when you aren't wanting to touch anything to leave marks everywhere. Good to use if you like Shea Butter, but you need to use this consistently to see the change but once stopped I found hands dried out quickly. Thick yet lightweight

L’occitane’s Nourishing and Protective Hand Cream is thick but not greasy. It absorbs fast and keeps my hand moisturized for a long time. It has a light scent and makes my hands feel smooth and soft.

Thick, Nourishing, and Worth the Hype...

As a beauty lover who is always trying new hand creams, the L'Occitane Nourishing and Protective Shea Butter Hand Cream truly stands out. The texture is ridiculously thick at first, but it melts into the skin effortlessly and feels instantly comforting. It leaves my sensitive hands smooth and deeply hydrated without any greasy residue. I also love that it is made with organic and fair trade Shea Butter, and it really does soothe, nourish, and protect the skin from dryness. My favourite way to use it is right before bed so it can work overnight, and I wake up with super soft, hydrated hands.
The only reasons I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 are that the powdery scent may not be for everyone, and it can be a little tricky to squeeze out every last drop from the tube. That said, the flat lid makes it easy to store upright, which helps. Overall, it is a luxurious hand cream that I will keep reaching for, especially during dry seasons.
