A classic hand cream

I've always been a fan of this brand and have purchased their hand cream many times. This is such a huge tube of hand cream, you will not have to buy another one this winter. You must have seen all the viral videos of how the hand cream is like cream cheese, can retain its shape and goes on smooth. My fingers have become so dry this winter, but this hand cream actually does the job of moisturizing it. The smell is great and I would always go back to this brand.

An essential for Canadian weather

Since moving to Canada, my skin, particularly my hands have become too dry and even washing my hands would make them crusty and painful. Not to mention the wrinkly look. In these last 4+ years, I have tried several lotions, hand creams and body butters but nothing really helped with my dry hands. They would absorb the moisture and become back to its crusty self in an hour. So I decided to splurge on Loccitane shea butter hand creams and it has been my holy grail since then. I recommend it to everyone I know and my friends and family know that I have made them into a Loccitane convert for good reasons.
Recently they have come up with this NEW version of their hand cream. It has a higher percentage of shea butter (25%) and it’s called a balm and not a cream because it’s a bit thicker in texture. I was apprehensive when I saw the word BALM but Loccitane products have never failed me so I tried it everyday since I recieved it and its definitely now my new favorite. It’s richer in texture and it feels more heavy than the cream. But it doesnt stay greasy which is the best part. The clocks for my hands have turned backwards so even though it’s quite expensive, it’s definitely worth it if your hands are as dry as mine.

Super soft and soothing

Because of my job, my hands get super dry and sometimes itchy from the discomfort of the dryness. This hand cream has quite literally saved me. It’s brought so much hydration and moisture back into my skin with only a couple days of use, and seen results immediately after use. I’ve also noticed that my hands are a lot less dry and never get itchy. Would definitely recommend.

Staple handcream for years because it’s fabulous!

I’ve been using a version of the Intense 25% Shea Butter hand cream from L’Occitane for over 20 years since discovering the boutique on Bloor Street in Toronto in my university days. It’s a beloved classic for good reason. It has a pleasant scent that dissipates quickly and the cream itself absorbs quickly without a heavy or greasy residue. A little bit goes a long away, I really only need a pea-sized amount for my hands, cuticles and I rub any excess on my elbows.

There’s a slighter lighter hand cream formulation with 20% Shea that was released a few years ago but I prefer this one with higher Shea butter content because it feels more moisturizing, luxurious and is perfect for dry winter skin. The aluminum tube can get lumpy and difficult to manage as the product gets used, which is why they released a key to roll the tube and get every last bit of this cream out. (Key is sold seperately.)

Very thick

This is a very nice thick cream I wasn’t expecting it to be as thick as it was!! The tube I find was hard to squeeze out to use. But it’s a nice cream for very dry hands!!
