Unique design, same ole drug store mascara

The packaging of this product is very unique, instead of the usual round container, it is oval-shaped, which made it very easy to hold it while applying. That's where the perks pretty much end for me. The product was sub-par and was just like any other drug store mascara. The price was on average with other mascara's, but after I tried it I feel like I overpaid. It just didn't live up to the hype, i was expecting more coverage, thicker wand, easier application, but didn't get it.

I did not like this product because it takes way too many coats to get the desired effect. It also flaked into my eyes from after about 4 hours of wearing it. It is not the quality I expect from L'oreal, and for $10+ at Shoppers Drug Mart, it just wasn't what I was expecting.

J'ai été déçu par ce mascara de L'Oréal, pourtant j'aime bien leur mascara habituellement, mais celui ci non. Je n'aime pas trop la brosse, elle colle mes cils ensemble, donc j'ai l'air d'avoir la moitié moins de cils, ça ne donne pas un bel effet. Ils sont recourbés, mais ils sont tous collés.

This mascara gets bad reviews due to the brush. I find it clumps and doesn't allow for even application. Usually I will bear with it and use it until the bottle is gone but this is one I just tossed because it would just sit in my make up bag for ever.

I bought this because it was on sale for a decent price. I found it so disappointing. The brush was flimsy and it just didn't give my lashes enough oomph, even with multiple coats of it. I do NOT recommend this product!

I purchased this mascara about 2 months ago, and I really did not like it, first it does not give the Voluminous effect, also it has a very strong odor that stays on all day... I used it every day and I just couldn't handle the smell anymore, it smells like petroleum on your eyelashes. I have tried many different kinds of L'oreal mascaras as well other OTC brands and the odor has never been this strong. Other then that, it usually clumps up.

Oh my gosh this tube may have been a good product but I was only able to use it once, the smell was terrible and it made my eyelids swell at the bottom near the lash line.

This product made my eyes burn and was so difficult to take off! I have used many different mascara products before, I did not have a good experience with this one!

The L'oreal Paris Butterfly Mascara sounds good in theory, claiming to give eyelashes a fluttery, butterfly effect with its unique curved wand. It has a curved shape, with one side wider than the other which supposedly enhances short, outer lashes. However, this is actually poorly designed. The curved shape might work for one eye, but then you have to flip the wand and hold it at an awkward angle to get the same effect on the other one. Furthermore, I don't even see a difference. The wand is too stiff, the bristles are too small, and it's a pain overall to apply. I got the waterproof formula, and it flakes SO MUCH. After only 2 hours, I had dozens of small black dots scattered under my eyes. Plus, it takes so much tugging and pulling to remove, even with my best makeup remover. As if that's not bad enough, it is pretty pricey for a drugstore mascara that doesn't even work. Definitely do NOT recommend this mascara.

Loreal advertises this product as a non, clumping lash extender that will gradually increase the length of the lash toward the outside of the eye. The way the brush is designed all of the mascara clumps in the wand, thus transferring the clumpiness to your lashes. The product does not extend your lashes in any way. I got the waterproof variety and boy does that feature work! It works so well that the mascara won't even come off when i wash my face, I need to take some lotion or makeup remover on a q-tip and scrub at my lashes to remove it which I find to be way too much work. I definitely would not purchase this product again.
