    I received this product to try from the Product Review Club. First of all, I really enjoyed how this cream was fragrance free and it didn't irritate my sensitive skin at all. I loved the texture and found it wasn't too light or too heavy but just right. It was smooth feeling and absorbed quickly. I'll have to see if this cream will provide enough moisture in the winter time because my skin gets much drier. I also found that this cream provided a nice surface to apply my make up. It acted as a primer and made my foundation go on smoothly and evenly. The SPF is a nice bonus and provides just enough protection to use on a daily basis. So far I have not seen a difference in terms of the fine lines but I will continue to use the product as I feel it may be too early to tell.

    Having tried the Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles SPF 15 day cream for about two weeks now, I have not seen a noticeable difference in the amount or depth of wrinkles between day 1 and day 15. I can, however, appreciate the fact that this had the SPF 15 factor which is vital in a day cream. I found the formula to be a bit too thick for use in the summertime as it forced me to tote along some oil-blotting papers. I loved the light scent of the cream as it helped to remind me that there was sunscreen in the formula. I am putting it back in the cupboard for the summer and giving it another go for the winter to see if it will help my complexion then.

    My first impression of this cream was...I thought this cream was a little too thick but I am also thinking it is due to the fact that I currently use a very light weight moisturizer. There was so scent the product, which is very nice. I find creams that smell "perfumy" always end up irritating my skin.
    One thing that I really liked was that it had SPF... my current moisturizer does not, so I should really be shopping around for a new cream. As for effectiveness, I did use it in the mornings, for 2 weeks, however.. I didn't really have any wrinkles in the beginning, so I am finding it difficult to see if I notice any differences.
    I would recommend to someone in their early 30s rather than late 20s.

    Thanks to the Product Review Club for allowing me the chance to try this product. I was excited to try this moisturizer as I have used Marcelle products in the past and have found them to have good effective products for a reasonable price. However, I was quite disappointed with this moisturizer.

    Although the packaging was quite pretty, I did not enjoy using a jar. It means either dipping your finger/hand in the product which becomes very unsanitary or using a little spatula everytime you want to use the moisturizer which can become quite a hassle. I guess you could also transfer the moisturizer to a dispenser but it may be difficult considering how thick the product is.

    I though the moisturizer itself was okay. It is pretty much unscented except for the slight slight smell of sunscreen which did not bother me. I would have really liked it if it had at least an SPF level of 30. The one thing that I really enjoyed about the product was how light and creamy the product was in terms of texture. I didn't find the moisturizer to be quite so effective though. I have really dry skin and when I put on just enough to cover my face, my face still feels tight and dry. When I put it on more liberally, my skin feels fine and moisturized but I my skin looks very greasy. For this reason and the low SPF level, I have mainly been using this at night.

    Overall, I thought the product was okay and may work for someone else. It did not work for me however and I will not be purchasing it when I run out. I prefer a day moisturizer for dry skin that comes in some sort of dispenser (tube or pump) with a high SPF level.

    I received a full size jar of Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles Day Cream SPF 15 to sample for the Product Review Panel.

    I noticed before I opened the jar, it was leaking out and had dried and become all "jelly" like around the lip of the jar...not a good first impression.
    I opened the jar and smelled the cream like I always do with new products. It claims to be odor free but I did not like the smell it had. It reminded me of sunscreen (I guess that's what you get when you make an odorless SPF 15 scream lol).
    The texture was great however. I love how it feels so light and blends effortlessly into my skin. I wear it under my makeup and can't tell I have it on. I'm not sure that it will smooth out my wrinkles as I don't have a lot to be smoothed out (yet) but I am sure that if I continue to use the product, i will notice a difference in the way my skin looks and feels.

    Overall rating:
    Smell = 2/5 stars
    texture = 5/5 stars
    packaging = 3/5 stars
    effectiveness = 3.5/5 stars

    I would recommend this product to people who have sensitive skin or do not want a cream with a heavy odor or texture. If you don't have sensitive skin, I am sure you'd be able to find another day cream on the market over this one.

    I received a full size jar of Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles Day Cream SPF 15 to sample for the Product Review Panel.

    My first impression of the product was not great. When I took the jar out of the box, I noticed some of the cream had leaked out and was smeared all over the side of the jar. I would be leery about traveling with this product as the seal in the lid does not seem to be very secure or leak proof. The packaging itself is very nice and high end, but I would prefer a squeeze bottle or pump bottle rather than a jar for hygienic reasons.

    The cream itself is very rich. I found it a bit thick for a day cream. The product is hypo-allergenic, so is suitable for those with sensitive skin. There is a faint odour of sunscreen but other than that, the product is scent free. The cream goes on smooth and is easily absorbed into the skin. I was disappointed by the greasiness of the cream. Compared to other day creams with SPF that I have used, this left my skin feeling very greasy and shiny looking, so I was forced to use blotting paper or pressed powder. The cream did leave my skin feeling incredibly smooth immediately after application. Unfortunately my jar arrived in my mail only a couple days before the review was due, so I am unable to comment on whether or not the product improved my skin appearance. For a day cream, I would prefer if it contained more SPF. The daily moisturizing cream I normally use is SPF 45. I have very fair skin so SPF 15 is not strong enough for me to get through the day.

    The jar contains 50ml of cream. A little goes a long way so this jar would last quite a while. With a suggested retail price of $27.50 (per marcelle.com), this cream is priced a bit lower than similar competitor products, however, I would not purchase this product for myself. I need more SPF in my day cream and the jar packaging (rather than a bottle) is a turn off.

    Thanks ChickAdvisor for the product review! I've been using this cream for the past couple of weeks and feel that it's average. The jar holds a lot of cream - so it's good value for the money. It's nice that it's unscented because you don't feel like you're putting chemicals on your face. I found the texture of the cream to be smooth, but once applied to my face it almost had an oily texture. I don't think this is bad because I found it to be ideal for applying make-up on top of. But if you didn't add some powder your face might be too shinny.

    On the flip side, I'm not sure how well it moisturizers my skin. At first it seems good, but doesn't leave me with that overly hydrated look. It's only a day cream so it would be nice if it was also intended for the evening so my bathroom wasn't filled with numerous jars of creams. As for it being an anti-wrinkle...I'm not thinking it will stack up against other creams in that department.

    Overall, average product but I don't see myself running out and buying another jar.

    Despite me saying in my last review I probably wouldn't buy it again...well I did :) But I came to find out they've changed the product and it's not the same quality level anymore. I couldn't find the version in the grey jar only ones with a similar label in a white jar. It caused a very bad breakout on my skin so much so I needed a facial and then had to use expensive products to get my skin under control again. The new formula really moisturizes well but the clogged pores & breakouts I can't live with. Seriously, this time I'm really never buying the product again. It's really turned me off Marcelle products in general now.

    Like some of the other reviewers, I would love if this had a higher SPF rating as my review is also affected by my having to use sunscreen with it as SPF15 is not strong enough for me in summer. I did find that it left my skin a little greasy (the norm with sunscreen) but by using sunscreen as well as the moisturizer my skin was quite greasy, which I do not find with my usual day cream and sunscreen. However, on a day when I was not leaving the house and in need of SPF30 it worked well and I did not find the same level greasyness.

    I didn't notice a change in the fine lines, but I do find its a good moisturizer, it is thick but absorbs well (especially for one with added sunscreen) and would certainly consider it for winter when my skin tends to be very dry but not for summer when I need sunscreen as well unless it had a higher SPF version.

    The one major plus was that its hypo allergenic, my skin can be fairly sensitive, especially with sunscreen and I had absolutely no issues with this, which was amazing.

    Thank you ChickAdvisor for selecting me to review this cream.

    I always wear moisturizer with SPF, even during winter. Although my container leaked in the mail, I noticed right away as I was cleaning it up that the cream was thick and absorbed into my skin without leaving a greasy residue behind. I am impressed with the thick consistency and how well the cream absorbs. I have fairly dry and sensitive skin and this cream left my skin feeling moisturized without feeling oily and did not irritate my skin at all.

    I can't say that I've noticed a reduction in the fine lines on my skin--and being in my early 30s I examine closely every day--but my skin feels softer, perhaps a bit more supple as well.

    I also find the SPF to work well. In some moisturizers the SPF isn't very effective, but this cream is protecting my fair skin from burning.

    I will definitely buy this product again. It's too soon to call it amazing but I am impressed after 10 days.

    This is the first time I've used a Marcelle Essentials product, and I'm not disappointed. The cream was nice and thick to the touch and easily absorbed into my skin. It kept my skin moisturized throughout the day with one application in the morning. And as a bonus, it fights the first signs of wrinkles to prevent them, and it includes a sunscreen. I agree with another reviewer and would like it even more if the sunscreen was SPF 30 for better sun protection. I did smell a faint scent of the sunscreen when applied, but after a few minutes it no longer became noticeable. I would definitely recommend this product for everyday use.
