Great for a starter toolkit!!

We used this to put some furniture together. I believe overall it is a great starter toolkit, it is comparable to higher end ones! It has all the required tools you’d never need!! Very first time DIYer friendly

Great DIY tool kit

Great Mastercraft tool kit I received free from Butterly and Canadian Tire to test and review.

The following reel includes an unboxing and a real life test for this tool kit.

The job we decided to put this tool kit to the test with was a full disassembly of our front load washing machine that has worn out bearings. Allthough I knew this was going to put the kit to a tough test I was honestly surprised at how much I was able to accomplish with these tools.

Overall there was a great variety of small tools to take care of most of the tasks needed. The inclusion of a decent drill in the kit is a big advantage however it also came with a large drawback. The included charger is only a 10 watt charger and will take up to 7 1/2 hours (yes you read that right) to charge a dead battery and with only one battery included you won't be able to rely on this to keep you going all day. However luckily Canadian Tire offers great upgraded chargers for decent prices or maybe you allready have another Pwr Pod charger and your good to go.

The only couple things that I ran into was that the nut drivers only included imperial sizes, as well the hammer was a stubby hammer and doesn't give you much leverage however it would likely work around the house well for hanging pictures etc.

Overall I would give this a strong 4 out of 5 stars for anyone looking to grab a small tool kit for using around the house to do small diy projects.

Great Took Set

I was fortunate to receive the Mastercraft Speed Drill/Driver set to review from Butterly. This set comes with so many helpful tools that every household needs. It also comes with so many helpful bits for the drill. It is lightweight and battery operated. There are many turn modes to select from depending on your task at hand. This aspect requires a bit of an adjustment period but the set comes with all you need to take on small DIY household tasks. This drill is not as robust in comparison to other drills on the market. The material of the drill also does not seem to be as durable as other drills on the market.

Convenient

I used this speed drill and driver kit to tighten a loose kitchen cabinet handle and it worked perfectly. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and has power for small jobs. The bits switch out quickly, making the whole process simple. What makes it different from other kits I’ve used is how compact and organized it is. It doesn’t feel bulky or heavy, but it still gets the job done efficiently. It’s a very convenient set to have for small home fixes and DIY projects and a great addition to any toolbox.

A great kit to have around the house for beginners

Overall, the tools in this kit generally work well and are useful. The ratchet screwdriver can be handy because you don’t have to keep repositioning the driver bit. The attachments for the driver all fit well and the level has a magnetic strip that is handy to use vertically on metal.

The drill seems to be powerful enough and worked right out of the box - no need to charge it - in forward and reverse. The variable clutch is helpful to prevent damage to screws and woodwork by releasing when desired torque is reached. The main concern with the electric drill is that the keyless grip on the drill bits cannot be tightened enough to prevent the drill bits from slipping in the drill when drilling holes - even into softwood - unless the RPMs are kept fairly slow.

All pieces in the kit are useful. It’s a very basic handyman toolkit that would be for beginner to intermediate DIYers. The bag that the tools come in certainly makes it handy to store the tools and easy to carry from place to place in your house or outside of the home. The bag has a couple of inside pockets and some elastics along the sides to hold the tools. I would recommend this kit for light-medium repairs/work around the house or cottage; it’s a nice starter kit to have.

Perfect for simple DIY projects

I had the opportunity to test the Mastercraft 20V 1-Speed Drill/Driver Kit with 83-pc Accessory Kit. This tool kit came with many tools that are handy to use for a simple DIY project around the house. It comes with a convenient carrying bag that stores all the tools inside. However, I wish the drill bits came in a small container so it's organized and easy to find the drill bits. Overall, this tool kit is great for home use because it has everything you need for simple fixes around the house. I was able to use the drill and drill bits to securely anchor a new wall mount into the wall using the tools provided in the bag. It was great since I didn't have to look around for the tools.

Great starter set!

Thanks to Canadian Tire for the opportunity to try Mastercraft 20V 1-Speed Drill/Driver Kit with 83-pc Accessory Kit, 2.0 Ah PWR POD Battery & Charger, PWR POD Compatible. This is a great starter set for the home, apartment or secondary residence! The bag is compact and has compartments to organize all your tools. The drill charges easily and is pretty intuitive to use. It's a smaller drill and would be perfect for simple everyday household tasks. This little set really does have all you need to get started! I was given this product for free to test out but I would recommend this as a good house warming gift for couples starting out! I used it to make cleaning out my dryer easier. I was able to remove the screws from the lint trap with ease. I would say other brands are perhaps fancier and more solid but I found this to be straight forward and easy to use.

Great Kit Overall — Drill Feels a Bit Lightweight

I was gifted Mastercraft 20V 1-Speed Drill/Driver Kit with the 83-piece accessory set, and overall I’m pretty happy with it — especially for the price.
I am quite impressed with how much comes in the kit. All the bits and attachments, all organized in a zip able bag. The battery hold enough charge for regular household tasks.
I did notice that the drill felt a little on the cheap side. Lightweight but wouldn’t expect it to perform well for building bigger items.
