It is incredibly user friendly with two temperatures to choose from. It comes with everything you need to complete your projects safely.
The Silicone mat & finger protectors are a wonderfull addition & take away the mess or hazard of messy wax on your work station. Ive had many Hot Glue Guns over the years & the Mastercraft one is the ONLY one that actually remains standing & isn't constantly tipping over from the tension of the power cord. the flat bottom makes it feel much safer and more secure when setting it down on my work station. The Glue refills are budget friendly, making it an easy choice to keep longterm.

This arrived right on time for me to do some Christmas DIY projects, including some from last year that I never completed because I ran out of time! Love the dual temp feature and the silicone mat and thimbles!

Ok function, good accessories

I received a Mastercraft 40W Dual Temperature Glue Gun Set, 6-pc to test by Canadian Tire and Butterly.
Overall this is a product that works as a glue gun but the dual heat isn't a real selling point for me as it didn't work that much better than the low heat. If the glue stayed hot longer with the extra heat I would be happier with the product. The accessories are what is great about this product - the silicon mat works beautifully, and the silicon finger protection is also nice. I used the three together as I have small hands and they fit on my thumb, forefinger and middle, but if you had wider fingers these would not fit.
The built in stand is a nice addition, and the trigger compresses pretty easily. It takes about 10 minutes to really heat up but once it does heat it stays heated which is nice.
The glue itself isn't amazing sadly, and I could easily peel it off from my wooden doll chair I made from sticks. The fact it's also not clear is a annoying as well (I am aware I can purchase clear). Perhaps it is the glue itself that let the product down it might be worth me trying a different kind?
Overall the accessories are what makes this kit and unfortunately not the function of the glue and glue gun itself.

Christmas Facelift

I used the Mastercraft 40W Dual Temperature Glue Gun Set from @canadiantire to give my vintage, handmade-by-my-grandma reindeer a little holiday facelift… aka I re-glued its 40-year-old eyelashes back on 🎄💁🏻‍♀️

The dual-temperature control made it super easy to work with delicate, older materials without damaging anything. It heated up quickly, the glue flowed smoothly, and it actually made the tiny detail work kind of fun. Plus, it comes with a silicone mat and heat-resistant finger protectors.

Honestly so helpful for tiny, fiddly projects like this.

Such a handy little set to have around for holiday décor touch-ups, DIYs, and all the “just fix it quickly” moments this season brings.

Great Glue Gun

Great glue gun! Works well for jobs and crafts around the house! Sturdy and seems more durable than cheaper ones I’ve used in the past. Like that it comes with a protective mat and two different temperatures.

It's ok and am disappointed it didn't come w glue

The glue gun itself is nothing special compared to cheaper ones you can get. This glue gun does retail for about $20 and it's convenient they it comes with finger protectors as well as a silicone mat. However for the price point I'm disappointed it didn't come with glue sticks, especially since it was in the packaged photo

This glue gun is perfect for crafts and fixing minor things around the house. It is a complete set with a rubber mat to place it on, 2 glue sticks and 3 sizes of finger guards. I was pretty excited to test this out especially with making christmas decors. I’ve been trying to put a stick on a pinecone for my outdoor planter and I tried using different glue guns already and nothing worked. I’m glad I was able to test this one and it did the job! It is fairly light and easy to work with. It heats up really fast and it has a duel temperature to change the temperature setting on the glue gun depending on the material you are working with. I’m happy with this product.
The only downside is when it was delivered to me the box is tampered already which cause some damage on the tip of the glue gun.

great compact glue gun, heats up really quickly before you know its ready to use also handy that it comes with a couple of accessories the handiest is the silicone mat so you're not trying to find something to use as a placemat while using the glue gun the finger silicone cots are also cool to have
