No pictures? No problem! This picture frame hanging kit from Mastercraft is not only good for hanging picture frames but great from wall baskets for my plants !!!! Obsessed is an understatement! Not to mention that it came with a stud finder, pencils, pencil sharpener, leveler, hammer and some essentials to hang! It also came with a nice little storage bag perfect for an apartment with low storage!!! Thank you Canadian Tire !!!

Really nice set! Have all that is needed for small home repairs/projects. I would really recommend this kit and would definitely buy it for my home projects.

I like that this Mastercraft picture hanging kit has everything that you need to hang any picture frame up on a wall:
- Stubby hammer
- Two pencils
- Pencil sharpener
- Magnetic stud finder
- Mini level
- Box of hardware:
- Picture-hanging hardware (94 pieces)
- Wall anchor hardware (56 pieces)
- Carrying bag

The carrying bag is great. I can separate the pencils and sharpener from the rest of the items.

The magnetic stud finder has strong magnets. It works effectively to find studs in the wall. It also loves attaching to the mini level that also has a convenient magnet. Both have levels.

The mini level is awesome, as it can balance on top of your picture frame. It measures both vertically and horizontally. It's easy to read, which is great in a mini.

The pencils come in handy. The sharpener was effective.

There is a lot of hardware to hang your picture frames and anchor them to your walls. If you are fairly experienced hanging picture frames, you'll be fine. However, if you're a novice, this kit doesn't comes with a how-to leaflet on hanging picture frames. It would be nice if it did as a reference for everyone. Otherwise, you need to do some side research and learning beforehand.

The stubby hammer is awesome. It's comfortable to grip and it's got a decent weight to hammer. I like that it's smaller for picture-hanging tasks. You don't need a full-sized hammer!

This kit came in handy. I got to put up some original artwork in picture frames from two special people. ☺️

I liked it!

I received this kit for free for my honest opinion and it's a positive one: I really liked it! This kit contains all you need for a little project in a nice smaller size, but still easy to handle and use. I found it to be good quality, strong, not too heavy and efficient, with a nice strong bag to get everything in and losing nothing. We installed an holder for my gardening tools in our garage with it, using many items of the kit to be sure it was strongly installed and levelled. The hammer is surprisingly easy to handle, even for bigger hands and the level is easy to read and the stud finder too. The pencil was good, but I wasn't a big fan of the sharpener: it works, but it takes some time to have a sharpened pencil, like it's not that sharp, cutting into it. But, it's not the end of the world either. The hardware box is great, hold well closed and contains good stuff. The kit in itself would be awesome as a starter for students in my opinion for little work that needs to be done and having something quality to do it. I don't remember many kits like this particular one, but if I have to compare to one I know of, this one is better, having more choices of screws and such and levels to use and I don't remember a carry bag, so it's an other plus to it.

I would recommend it 110% for sure! Nice kit, nice quality, everything nice! Don't think twice about getting one for you or as a gift.

Most Useful Kit Ever!

The Mastercraft Home Repair Essentials kit was perfect for my projects. The hammer, screwdriver, and driver bits made assembling my new bed quick and easy, and the level, measuring tools, and wrench helped me hang a curtain rod straight and securely. The pliers, utility knife, and fasteners were handy extras. Everything felt sturdy, organized, and reliable for everyday home repairs.

A handy set needed at home

I received a Mastercraft Picture Hanging Set from Butterly. The kit comes with some hardwares and tools that we need to complete a few small jobs at home. Since we moved to a new home, we have some pictures needed to hang up on the wall. The kit makes it easy to hang or mount anything on the wall. A carry bag also helps keep everything in one place. Another benefit is we don't need to shop everything individually, this kit is sufficient for our need. Overall, we were able to hang up a few pictures effortlessly without making any mess on the walls. This is a great, practical set to have at home, we like this product!

A simple handy must have

I was chosen to try the Mastercraft General Tool Set and Picture Hanging Kit for free, and it couldn’t have come at a better time! We’re in the middle of upgrading our kids’ rooms and hanging up new pictures, so it was perfect. We were able to hang up a ton of pictures effortlessly without making a huge mess on the walls. We even used the stud finder to hang up some shelves we had laying around.

I love that it comes with a convenient carry bag to keep everything organized together. It includes a wide variety of hardware options, making it easy to hang pictures or mount just about anything you need on your walls.

I really liked that the pencil sharpener fits those odd-shaped carpenter pencils you find at hardware stores. The hammer has a nice weight to it and feels sturdy, not cheaply made at all. The magnets on both the stud finder and the level are quite strong, which made the job easier. The only small issue I noticed was with the mini level, the middle black piece occasionally pops out if it fits a surface a bit roughly, but it snaps back in easily and doesn’t affect usability.


It's really comparable to other products we have used in the past. The nice thing about this is you don't have to buy the items separately and there's different hardware depending on how you want to hang the pictures up. The quality holds up to other brands that also produce hardware for hanging pictures.

Overall, this is a great, practical set to have on hand, especially for simple home projects.

Goldilocks Kit!

Everything in this kit is “just right” for when you need to hang some pictures, like we did, and more!

This is the real Goldilocks kit. Lots of options for picture hanging, and 2 incredible mini MAGNETIC levels! The magnets make them harder to lose!

The hammer is just the right size for small jobs like this. Definitely easier than using our larger hammer and larger levels.

The sharpener for the pencils is a great added touch!

The carrying case is perfect - room for everything included and any extras you may have!

Great little picture hanging kit

I received the Mastercraft Picture Hanging Set for free from Butterly, and it honestly made the whole project so easy. I used it to hang my ostrich painting, and everything went up smoothly and perfectly straight. The leveler was such a lifesaver one quick check and the painting was lined up exactly right.

I also loved that the kit came with pencils and a sharpener, which made marking the wall super simple. And the bag it all comes in was a great addition it kept all the hooks and tools together and easy to grab while I worked.

The hooks feel sturdy, the setup was quick, and my painting hasn’t moved at all. For light to medium décor, this little kit is incredibly handy.

This little kit is a must have in your home.

Great tool kit for pictures

I Hanging set as a free trial and I was absolutely impressed with it. The hammer was the perfect size to get the nails just deep enough to be able to hold the picture. This kit was very beginner friendly even for someone with no DIY experience. I hang my kids art on the walls very often, and this kid has everything in one place the hooks, the nails, the level, and it even included two pencils with a sharpener which was perfect. Hanging pictures used to take me a very long time and was quite frustrating but now it is so easy and accurate. All the pieces in the kit were very sturdy and feels very solid and reliable so I don’t fear my pictures falling off the wall. As an added bonus, there is a bag so you can store all your pieces in a safe spot for anyone who hangs pictures artwork, even decorations. This tool kit is absolutely worth having it saves time and gives you perfectly straight pictures every time I would definitely recommend this to everyone.
