I finally decided to give this stuff a try. The first one I bought wasn't waterproof and it kinda sucked. So on my next trip I picked up the waterproof one. I was pretty impressed. I have horrible allergies to pet dander, dust, pollen and much more. My eyes water from the results of this on a daily bases. This mascara passed the waterproof test. As far as length and volume go, it takes some building up.
The brush is very helpful to achieve different looks but I have always loved to looks a little dramatic when I can. I end up doing 2-3 coats depending on my lashes that day. I have curly hair and my lashes are no exception, and they kinda do whatever they want just like my hair (just not as thick thank god!).
This stuff is pretty good I only have problems removing it. Even with good makeup remover it does take a little bit of time. I'm used to using the L'Oreal double extend removable tubes. That stuff stays on and comes off like a dream. I just really like the look the Falsies give me over the L'Oreal one. Overall this stuff is a dream.
I really do like this product but I would not label it as "Falsies" because I feel I did not get a full on "false lash" look. It's a great mascara but honestly, I expected more. I did not like the spoon brush because the mascara always ends up on my lids and what not. If you take your time and go slowly and apply in a zig-zag motion from root to tip, it is a little more effective then applying it normally. The mascara does create length on the bottom lashes, though. I think the length is more noticeable on the bottom lashes and is decent when applied to the top lashes. Have a q-tip with oil-free makeup remover handy because you will need to remove smudges and mascara marks from around your eyes.
i do like the mascara, although i do not love it, i was hoping for more lengthening than it really does. that would probably be my only con. the pros are easy and nice, it separates my lashes and goes on smoothly! and doesn't clump even after my second coat. It made me look like i have more lashes than i really do, but yes i would have liked more more length to them =( even though it curls them quite nicely!
I think I get some kind of rush from opening a new container of mascara. I know I'm crazy...some people have a shoe fetish but I have an eyelash fetish. I must admit that when I went to purchase this new mascara I went into it thinking that is was going to be a wasted purchase but I still wanted to try it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised from the first time that I used. I decided to try it out the first night I got it. As I applied it all I was thinking is "OK, this is nice". After I applied it to my right eye I got distracted with my daughter who was running down the hallway with my eyeliner. A few minutes later I went back to go see how the mascara looked and realized that I didn't curl my lashes before putting on the mascara. To my surprise I didn't need to curl my lashes because the mascara did all the work for me. I was so impressed. OK, enough of my rambling...lets get to the good stuff:
Product Description:
Mascara that promises that the patent spoon brush and kera-fiber formula instantly builds 8x more volume without clumping. Each tube of mascara come with .25 fl oz.
Price:
Walgreens: $7.49
Packaging:
I love the magenta and turquoise color of the package
Verdict:
I would give this mascara a 3.5 out of 5. I think it is a very good mascara. Does it make you lashes look like falsies?...close but it still gives a more dramatic look. My boss actually asked me yesterday was I wearing my false lashes. That made me smile.
What I love about It:
No eyelash curler needed
Great stand out lashes as promised
Formula is not think and is build-able
The price is affordable and you can get it at any drugstore
What I would change:
Formula dries too quick; which can lead to spider lashes and potential clumps

The Falsies will not make it look like you are wearing false eyelashes after just one coat. However, it is otherwise a great volumizing/lengthening mascara that you can easily layer to create different looks, from a single-coat day option to a multi-coat dramatic evening option.
But you know what? I've tried many mascaras and can find many good things to say about the formulas for most of them. Why does this one stand out for me?
You know that old trick - curling your lashes by pressing a spoon against them? This new brush is spoon shaped and curled my lashes almost as well as my usual curler. Not only that, it really is a 'full coverage' brush, reaching every single lash and coating it uniformly. No gaps, no accidentally jabbing my eyeball - just easy and flawless application. This brush is The Bomb.
I have several all-time favourite mascaras: this one just made the list.
I received this product as a preview sample.
I like this mascara, but I wasn't blown away. You definitely need to work with it to achieve the "false" look, but once you get used to it I find that its worth it. After mastering just the right technique, and getting used to the texture and curved brush I was able to achieve the false look advertised (or at least much closer to it than most other mascaras).
That being said, I like to layer this mascara with the original Colossal. I find that using The Falsies on top really helps to achieve a dramatic look. I have not been able to get these same results by simply doing multiple coats of The Falsies alone. That is the reason that I am not blown away by this product (because HAVING to use another product at the same time is too much work, and means that the product alone is really not good enough). That being said though I would repurchase this mascara because I do like the effect when I have the time to work on it.
Would I purchase it instead of the original colossal? No. But would I purchase it to use in conjunction WITH it, yes. Neither of the Maybelline products are my favourite mascara though, CoverGirl's Lash Blast still holds that high honour :)
I find in every maybelline commercial that all the models are wearing these crazy long fake lashes (get real girls those cant be real). ANYWAYS, despite this i decided to try this product even though in the past i havent has much success with maybelline products. I bought it and the next yeah i tryed it. Yes with the shape of the bush you can get every lash. but it has no real lenghting effect. It just made my eye lashes black. After applying 30 coats to get them to somewhat of a reasonable look i left. During the day the mascara keep flaking off. Possiably because i put so much on but that wouldnt have been a problem if it would have actually worked!
I couldn’t wait to try Maybelline’s new mascara, especially after reading so many good reviews about it.
What a pleasant surprise. Although I am a fan of their mascaras, the last few ones have disappointed me.
I love the brush. The scoop shape is really innovative and allows to build length and volume with each side. It separates nicely, one coat is enough for a day look, nice full soft lashes, while two or more coats really deliver a false eyelash look... dramatic, nicely separated, voluminous and long lashes. It lasts well, although it didn’t quite make it through a steamy dancing night, when it started melting off.
Removal is a breeze. I only use olive oil and I have no problem with getting it off with no residue left behind.
The best part is that the awful smell the Colossal had is gone.
I am very happy with the product. Great price quality rapport! Better than most high end, high priced mascaras.
Worth ever penny.
This mascara never clumps and doesn't flake either! My lashes look longer and every lash gets covered. But, some-how it comes off so easily with a wet towel. Its Great!
Well worth the price and great results! I don't like to spend more than $12 on a mascara because I go through so many of them. I really like the drama with this one. I've never tried false eyelashes before so I can't compare it to that, but it gets my vote for volume and length at a good price.
