Set it and Forget it for Improved Air Qualiry
Finally with the warmer weather I have been able to test the Noma 50 Pint Dehumidifier, and have been using it for a few weeks now. Overall, it has effectively managed the humidity levels in our home, which is especially important during the damp spring/summer months.
While it is quite large, the design is modern and sleek, unobtrusive, making it easy to place in various rooms without it feeling out of place. I appreciate the user-friendly controls and LED display, which make it simple to operate, even amidst the chaos of daily family life. I appreciate the 24 hour programable timer to turn it on and off, so I can set it and forget it! The dehumidifier does a solid job of removing moisture from the air, helping to prevent bacteria and mould. I do notice an improvement in the air quality.
One aspect to keep in mind is that the water tank, while sufficient, can be a bit heavy to empty when full, but the system does automatically shut off when full. Additionally, with 3 different options for emptying the tank: bucket, garden hose or pump for continuous drainage it lets me choose the setup most suitable for my household.
In summary, the Noma 50 Pint Dehumidifier has been a reliable addition to our home. It does what it promises without any bells and whistles, making it a practical choice for families looking to improve indoor air comfort.
Fresh air for everybody!
Totally love how compact and sturdy this dehumidifier is. Works like wonder and does it's magic especially with us who lives in a basement and we're living with kids.
Great workhorse, but a bit loud
First and foremost, Noma did an excellent job at packaging, there was nary a scuff on the dehumidifier. It was super easy to use, the buttons were nice and big and it had 4 wheels for easy transport. The tank is really easy to remove and overall, it did its job.
It's biggest downfall is how loud it is... Even with the fan on its lowest setting, I was able to clearly hear it from a couple of rooms away. But if you're a fan of white noise, this will definitely lull you to sleep!
Nice unit!
I find that the dehumidifier is very easy to understand and program. The display is well lit and straightforward. It is very user-friendly with basically a plug and use aspect (although, you do have to let the device sit for 24 hours before you can actually use it). It isn't too big of a unit and looks pretty inconspicuous, which is nice!
I have the dehumidifier placed near the basement, somewhat in the middle of my house in hopes that it will draw out the dampness from the basement and the humidity from the upper levels. It is pretty quiet on the low setting and far enough away that I can barely hear it. It has been pulling out moisture from the air already, which is nice to see.
I am a bit anxious about this specific unit as there were a lot of complaints that it stopped working after one year, just passed the warranty limit. I was happt to see that they have increased the warranty limit to two years. I *hope* NOMA has rectified the issue because one of my major issues is waste, especially of small appliances like this one. I will update my post if I run into any issues with this dehumidifier.
I am curious to see if having the dehumidifier running will lower my need to use the air conditioner during those humid summer days/nights! 🤞🏻
Great size for my basement
The size of this dehumidifier is great for my small basement.
Every year my basement floods but I will be fixing my foundation issues this year plus adding this dehumidifier along with the construction it will help prevent any mold growth and to benefit my growing family!
If you have a moist climate it works
I do like how portable this machine is on wheels. It's convenient that you can adjust the settings and roll it to the location you need. For a damp basement this really works great.
First Time Using A Humidifie and Easy to use
This is the first time setting up a dehumidifier for our house. It has always been on the to do list so we finally were able to add one to our home. During the warmer months our upstairs tends to get very humid so we decided to set ours up upstairs to help combat this issue. In addition we have bearded dragons, which as desert reptiles humidity is not the best for them. So this will be dual purpose helping to make everyone more comfortable. We are looking forward to having this run during our summer months. It was super easy to set up and it is on wheels making moving it easy.
The only reason we gave 4 stars is it loud when you use it and it is something we will need to get used to.
Good option
I was kindly gifted this 50 pin dehumidifier from Noma in exchange for my trial and review, and we definitely could use it. This unit was decently heavy, but not so much so that it was frustrating to move. Packaging was easy to open, and I found the instructions very clear to understand. I love that it smoothly wheels. There's a port for, like, to add, like, a hose, but the compartment to hold water is very reasonably sized.
You can also remove the filter to wash it which is really nice. Loads of features like a programmable timer, this cleaning monitor, a low and high fan speed, and this is decently quiet all things considered.
Easy to use and efficient
I used it for a week in my basement. The dehumidifier is easy to install and carry around with wheels, it’s not heavy. My basement is no more humid now when I workout and it feels good! Great product
Great dehumidifier
NOMA's dehumidifier is a great addition to any household. It has a huge water tank and is very easy to use. With it's large LED screen and buttons, it makes it foolproof to use. It is on the heavier side making it quite difficult to bring to other floors in your house, however, it has the addition of wheels on the bottom making it super lightweight to roll around from room to room.
