We have been using a can full of rocks to hold open our bird room door (it likes to close on its own) for the last few years, and came across these cute leaf door stoppers!

The size is perfect – 3 and ¾ inches long and 2 inches at the widest part. We do have laminate flooring with a small berber rug right at the door, and if the stopper is just placed on the laminate…the door does not stay opened unless you carefully place the doorstopper in the door to floor gap. Otherwise, if the stopper is placed on the carpet, it just takes a little tap and holds the door without any issues.

The same thing with our laminate click wood flooring – the stopper just needs a gentle push under the door to floor gap, and stays put all day long.

I really like that there is a leather loop at one end of the leaf, as it makes it easier to remove the stopper when required.

The silicone is quite high quality and thick – it should outlast both being used regularly and the wear and tear caused by our dogs and parrots for many years to come.

I love the outdoors, and this also goes with the owl theme in my bathroom as well – I could see these going well in a home with children or in a home with a whimsical or outdoorsy theme throughout. It will also prevent doors you do not want being closed from being closed on fingers, noses, and curious paws.

It does not smell weird, and does not allow for door movement once put in place for the most part (except on low laminate roll flooring as previously mentioned).

I also love the colours – green, yellow, baby blue, and soft brown. They are not too powerful, yet go with our décor and home colourings.

Overall, if you have an older house with rickety doors that close themselves or want to prevent doors from closing on their own, I would highly recommend these stoppers.
