Not really an overnight fix, but still helps

I recently had the chance to try out the PanOxyl Overnight Spot Patches as part of a sample I received from Butterly, by Crown Labs(Canada). I was curious to see how well they would perform, especially since I've used other hydrocolloid patches in the past with mixed results.

I applied one patch over a developing pimple and left it on overnight for about 8 hours. In the morning, I noticed that the patch had drawn out some of the white pus from the spot — a clear sign that it was actively absorbing the fluid. That was a definite positive. The patch also stayed firmly in place throughout the night and was easy to remove without irritating the skin.

However, while it did help extract some of the buildup and kept the area clean, I didn’t see much improvement in terms of reducing redness, inflammation, or the overall size of the pimple after just one use. It didn’t "clear up" the spot completely overnight, so if you're expecting a miracle overnight fix, this might not deliver on that front.

That said, I do think these patches serve an important purpose. They create a protective barrier over your blemish, which helps prevent bacteria and dirt from getting in — and more importantly for me, it discourages picking at the spot (which we all know makes things worse). For that reason alone, I’d say they’re a helpful addition to any skincare routine, especially for those prone to touching or picking at their skin.

In summary, PanOxyl Overnight Spot Patches are not a magical overnight cure, but they’re a reliable and hygienic way to treat active pimples, particularly those that are already coming to a head. I’ll continue to use them and see how they perform over multiple uses or with different types of blemishes.

Maybe effective?

I was able to trial the Panoxyl Overnight patches having never used patches for acne before. I don’t break out often, however, whenever I do get a pimple, I get a pigmented scar. I trialled the patches on an older and a newer pimple, and unfortunately did not see any difference all after using for several days.

The patches were effective in preventing me from picking at the pimple and protecting the area from dirt and oil. I did like how they come in two sizes for different sized pimples.

I’ve been told that they should be used on whiteheads only, so may give the product a second chance!

I didn't see any effect.

I have a painful pimple near my nose. I put this patch on hoping that the pimple would disappear without a trace, but the only thing this patch did was protect it from the external environment. The pimple did not disappear and it still hurts. Maybe they really work for someone, but compared to my regular remedy that almost instantly relieves inflammation and redness, these patches do not. I am not sure that I will buy them, my assessment is neutral (not delighted and not disappointed because I did not expect too much)

Emergency pimple sos

The patch was used beside the lip area, developed one pimple. Had to be careful not to rub it off, next day it was less red, Wasn't sticky enough but effective for helping to reduce the blemish. Pimple patch

I was excited to try this product as pimple patches are huge in our house. I loved the packaging and ease of removing the patch from the sheet. I liked there were two different size circles. Stayed on and didnt move. Easy to remove also. Only thing is they didnt work as well as I anticipated. So i tried again with a fresh patch. It took three days and three patches later before anything came out of my pimple. I find my regular pimple patch brand work much more efficiently.

PIMPLE PATCHES

I received this from Butterly.I was expecting a full sized item especially since they want me to review it. I have tried one on a pimple and it stayed on sale night. I noticed it was less red in the morning. Its a trusted brand. It works like a pimple patch should. Im not impressed with the little sample they gave in exchange for reviewing on multiple platforms.

Less effective then others

I found this product less effective compared to similar products. It did not leave any residue which is nice except there was still more pimples that flared after taking them off

It works! Zapped the zit

This product absolutely works at pulling out any gunk under or at the skin due to zits! Such a great way to also keep dirt and other bacteria off overnight, treating the zit while sleeping!


I have a latex allergy and something in this caused me to react - but it still quickly got rid of the troublesome zits !!

Actually surprised

I suffer from acne around that time of the month. I preferred the varied round shapes much better than the original triangle. While the blemishes didn't disappear completely the size was certainly decreased.

Practical idea, limiting effectiveness

I tried the patch and had a mixed experience. While it mentions that it work its magic while you sleep, I found that using for one overnight is not enough. I do have to use multiple nights in a row in order to achieve a clearer-looking complexion. This complicated since everyone possesses a different skin type and is difficult to find what really works for you. I love the idea of an overnight patch. It is definitely a hit and miss depending on the pimple you are trying to tackle. The one thing I liked about it is that it prevents you from picking at your pimple and absorbs your pimple immediately. I do enjoy the look of it since the patch is clear and unnoticeable when you wear it. I think the brand has the right idea but it needs to have various variations of the patch to meet other skin types. I adore the packaging and look forward to more products from this brand.
