Tastes gross, not a fan

Just coming out of a viral illness, I thought it would be the perfect time to try an elderberry health product. Unfortunately the taste was horrendous and I can't comment on the effectiveness because it was so gross tasting, I spit it out.
Sorry, even though I got it for free to try, I'll be passing on the second packet to a friend.

Weird taste

#igotitfree to try and leave a review but I'm really not sure about the taste. It almost tasted moldy but I'm not sure if thats just the flavor. The first ingredient is sugar, not super happy about that. I would not purchase these, I'd rather find something that's not full of sugar. Plus the flavour is elderberry but there's no elderberry in the ingredients. Hard pass.

I did not like

| received #Sambucol black elderberry from #butterly to #trybeforeyoubuy . This was a free product!! I unfortunately did not like the taste there for I would not know how it would work. Also I only received 2 sample packs with 2 gummies in each. I don't think that is enough to give a full review. Maybe a strawberry flavour may have been better.

Not impressed

I was sent two tiny sample pouches with two Sambucol gummies in each pouch to try out and post my honest review. Unfortunately, I cannot speak about its effectiveness because I don't feel a two day supply is enough to go by. The gummies taste quite tangy, I was expecting them to be sweeter. I do like that they are vegan and gelatin free...something that I wish more companies would accommodate however I was not pleased to see that it contains vegetable oil (a very unhealthy oil!). The Vitamin C and Zinc content is lower in the Sambucol compared to other brands I have tried. #gotitfree

Save your $

I just received these gummy supplements this week and I've had a chance to try the 2 full packages given, in total 4 gummies. First I will say that they tout that these products 'support immunity' although as a medical professional, I will caution the public to be wary of such promises. These may contain vitamins and ingredients that may be beneficial to health, but they should not be used to treat illness, 'boost' the immune system. I would also caution the use of 'natural' supplements and those not recognized by the FDA/Health Canada in children and vulnerable populations.
That being said, I can really only comment on the taste of the product as 4 gummies is not a long enough trial to comment on efficacy. They taste like 'medicinal' gummies in a berry flavour.
Overall, I probably would not purchase these on my own, although I do prefer gummy versions of such products.
