Purchased the for door refrigerator in 2010 for over $3,000.00. Fell in love at first sight by all the gadget offered. Within 11 months the refrigerator compressor and twin motor went bad. I lost all my food during that time. Still under warranty and was fixed by the companies contractor. In 2015 again the compressor went bad losing all newly purchase meal. I was informed by the contracting repair company the it is no longer under warranty and i agreed to pay out of pocket for parts and labor. The repair company assessed a showed me the burn marks near the twin motor. I discovered that my home could have gone up in flame and harm my family. I was informed by the repair company of the risk of fire and ongoing issues with Samsung new gadgety refrigerators. I was informed that the new design is for looks and not functionlaity. Despite the twin motor the multi functionality of the product contributes to the ongoing malfunctions. I was shown multiple work orders for other customers with the exact refrigerator issues. I got a serious warning not to repair for the safety of my family. Upon returning to the same store to purchase a new refrigerator I requested the sales aide to select a good and realistic refrigerator. The representative informed me that the previous Samsung refrigerator I had purchased was still under warranty for 10yrs if the issue is compressor related. I was directed to contact Samsung directly. I was originally treated poorly and bounced around departments but eventually good confirmation of the 10yrs warranty. The product was fixed but I live in fear due to the past burn marks that can only be seen when a repair company pulls the product apart. I would not recommend this to my enemy
