This would be a great item when you don't have the time or needle & thread to fix that hem that you didn't notice BEFORE you put it on and left for work/shopping was drooping. It's a quick fix that will work in an emergency. Great for your desk at work or part of your travel items.

Scotch Essentials Adjustable Hem Tape works well and can definitely be handy if you need a quick fix.

This hem tape is an awesome idea and great for emergency fixes. I don't own a sewing machine so this product is great on a skirt or pants that need shortening or if partially falling down. It sticks well but when I washed the garment it loosened a bit. It is very expensive as far as products go but is equivalent in $ to going to a stich-it place or laundry place that does alterations.

I think it is a neat idea if you need a quick fix from work to night out as I couldn't really think of anything to use it on other than adjusting the hem line of a skirt to make it shorter. I rarely wear skirts, and when I do they are the longer type.

I am short so all my pants require a permanent hem (the scotch essentials permanent hem tape, amazing for this). It was easy to use, and it held very well. I personally would stick with the permanent hem tape for the main reason of needing most of my essentials permanently hemmed! Most of my shoes are flats as well, so I found it wasn't really a useful product for me, however for someone else it could be.

Not being able to sew is kind of a pain when you're short. Pants are always too long. These adjustable hem strips help me adjust the length of my pants pretty easily. One downside is that they didn't last through a wash cycle.

This is a life saver for us short girls out there... you know every time that you buy a pair of pants, they NEVER fit lengthwise... so I was really excited to receive to try because I have a couple pair of pants that needs to be hemmed. Because I cant sew either, these were really exciting to receive and to test out! It comes with 24 tape strips, which will be good for about 3 pairs of pants, if you use 4 to securely keep it in place. I haven't tried washing them with the tape on yet, because at on the back of the package, it specifically says to take off the tape before you put it in the wash, which I think defeats the purpose of these tapes, but I might try it out on a pair of pants that I don't really care too much about, just to see how they last. The only downside to these, is that every time you wash them, you have to remove the tape. They are basically a one time use only, whereas I would have liked to have something a bit more long term.
