I use this cleanser for a few days after microdermabraion treatments because I can't use anything harsh on my face. Also, when I just want a light refreshing wash. I really like it and the smell is really nice. Definietly a keeper!
I was so disappointed with the change in formulation (at least I hope that's what it is) with the Apricot scrub that I picked up this one... and I have to admit it works better. The scent is light, not overpowering and the scrub leaves your face fresh without the feeling of having gone through a sand blaster.
I usually don't use any scrubs besides the Biore pore unclogging scrub but I decided to check this product out because I'm a huge fan of green tea. Truthfully it doesn't really smell like green tea but I guess that's the subtleness of it. Really nice green colour though.
I like how the beads are so small when you scrub your face with it it feels like you are covering every surface area. My face feels pretty fresh afterwards :)
Price is pretty cheap so definitely worth the bucks!
I have recently switched from St. Ives Apricot scrub to this one, because of my sensitive skin. I love this product because its not as coarse as the apricot scrub. It leaves my skin smooth and feeling really clean, and since i have sensitve skin, it doesnt irritate it as much as other facial cleansers. I will definately buy this product again.
I have sensitive combination skin, and paying $10-$15 for a bottle of cleanser that clears my acne but dried out my face way too much just seemed like a big waste of money. The green tea scrub is perfect for those with combination skin. It scrubs deep down with the tiniest micro-scrubbers I have ever felt, takes that "sore" pimple feeling away, as well as removes dead skin super gently because of the size of the exfoliators, and the best part, the green tea in it helps to heal the skin and brightens you up. The price vs. Quality of this product is the BEST deal I have EVER found, and I've been using it for months now. I've probably saved $50 already, and my skin is so soft!
It works well, but it's more expensive than everything else in the St Ives collection and it seems like when St Ives is on sale- this never is! Also, every bottle I've gotten seems to leak everywhere but I can't find the source of the leak! It's driving me nuts because I lose 60-70% of the bottle sometimes! It's a b@#$% to clean up.
This product is amazing!! I previously used the St Ives Apricot scrub which i like a lot but this product is very effective in clearing breakouts and it smells great. I have oily acne prone skin and this scrub is gentle and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. My prescription cream (Retisol-A) ran out about 2 months ago and I was not bothered to get a refill because it costs $45. After I stopped using retisol-A I broke out for a month straight which was really frustrating.
Then I bought the St Ives Green Tea Scrub and since then all the breakouts have cleared and it has also prevented me from getting any new breakouts. It is also much gentler than the apricot scrub.
I love, love, love this scrub.
With the price you cannot go wrong. If you have acne prone skin I recommend you try this!!
This St. Ive's Product is AMAZING! I went to the store while on holiday in BC, looking for St. Ive's Apricot Scrub.. and I found this instead. I'm so glad I did! This is the best face scrub I have ever used! It smooths out any imperfections, and I noticed a real difference after only 3 days. I've since found it here at home, and actually bought another one even though I still have lots left (you don't need a lot of the product when you use it) for fear that I might not be able to find it when I need it! A tad excessive? perhaps, but that just shows how much I love this product!
I tried this scrub because I wanted one that was a little less harsh than the Apricot Scrub (which I LOVE). I have heard that using scrubs with natural things such as fruit seed extracts is bad for your skin because it can cause microscopic abrasions in your skin leaving it open to bacteria and thus more prone to breakouts. This is the opposite effect that I wish for the Apricot Scrub to have (I use the blackheads and blemish clearing one...) so I decided to give the green tea version a try.
The Green Tea Scrub is also a breakout clearing scrub and I find that it did do the job. While green tea is obviously also a natural extract (as opposed to artificially made micro beads which are smooth and thus less abrasive than fruit extracts) it is a fine powder so the scrub is extremely gentle. Because I am used to the Apricot Scrub, at first I found that this scrub wasn't doing the job because it just wasn't scrubby enough for me, but over time I got used to its gentle nature and have really come to love it.
The only drawback I would say is that I probably used this scrub more often than I used the Apricot one (probably 3 times a week versus 1-2) simply because I felt that it was more gentle. For this reason I probably went through the bottle a bit faster, but when the product is only about 3.50 to begin with, I don't think that's a huge deal.
Overall I will certainly purchase this again as I can't live without my St. Ives scrubs.
Love it!! I ran out before I could totally tell it's effectiveness and London Drugs doesn't sell it yet so I had to buy another but I would totally recommend it. My skin has never felt so clean as it did after using it, and I have horrible skin (plus I'm pregnant so it's way worse).
